I don't link's grab is bad, it's very useful in many situations.

its a bad grab in comparison to other grabs, and its a really mediocre move compared to most moves in general, but that doesn't mean its not useful

Yeah I know it's worse when compared to other grabs, but to me it's like saying Samus is bad because she's bottom of the tier list. She's still a very viable character and can hold her own.

Just like Link's grab while not as useful as other grabs is still good in some situations.

Everything is good if you use it right, but overall if you should compare moves I wouldn't say links grab is good. If you miss you're screwed.
