All apologies if this isn't exactly what the mods want, I know they're a little on edge right now, and for good reason, but I'm honestly just providing some info. After searching a bit, I didn't see this posted yet so...

Well, we now know when the release date for Brawl ISN'T. IGN just recently reported Nintendo's official summer lineup, and expectedly, Brawl wasn't mentioned. This includes the months July-September, so we're looking at October at the very earliest. I don't think this comes as a shock to anyone, but it's now been confirmed as far as I'm concerned.

NOTE: It's possible the Dojo (when updated later on tonight) could miraculously add Brawl to the Q3 (July-September) lineup, but don't count on it.

Well, not that I'm counting on it, but it definitely is a possibility that the Dojo will add Brawl to the Q3 release-list.
I mean, Nintendo would probably in no way have released the info, when Brawl's site isn't open yet.

Remember, SSBB wasn't on the "we're going to show this at E3" list as well, and they sure as hell did. While I agree it's highly unlikely to be released in summer, just because they haven't announced it as of yet doesn't mean it's never going to happen.

"In no way"? Really? I thought I just said that Nintendo spilled the beans on every other game's release date for the summer. This means, that Nintendo, in a very big way, released the info even though Brawl's site isn't open yet. IGN doesn't just make stuff up without putting a big "rumor warning" up first.

But yeah, that's why I included the disclaimer note at the end.

My opinion about it not being likely to launch this summer is also solidified by the fact that Galaxy wasn't mentioned either. They have to have SOMETHING to launch in the holiday season. It's possible they'll only save one big game for the holiday season, but... you see where I'm going.

Personally I'm banking on Galaxy and Brawl to be released in Q4, with Galaxy being the later release around late november or December (right in time for the rush...)

not a surprize to me. since every other game magazine says that it will be released at the latest Q4, i expected it. but its for the good.

Quarter 3, Quarter 4, I don't care which one it's released in. I just hope to get it sometime by the end of this year. But can you really trust it? IGN had said the game would use the wii classic controller, but Sakurai said it would use the gamecube controller. Will they use both, or just one? Also, countless sites were pinpointing the release date on several different days, including (for this year) February-June basically, then it went into September-December, then it went into Q1 2008. Can't trust what anyone says unless it's made official.

i heard that about the controllers too, but i also heard that nintendo is going to re-release the "wii" version of the gamecube controller to use for brawl....now no one knows who to trust...

Brawl is scheduled to be released around the 3rd quarter of this year but in seeing alot of different people say that it might come out until either the 4th quarter or the 1st quarter of next year i'm having thought if it's even gonmna be released this year. btw I just how we get some kind of info regarding the official release date from sakurai himself

Why is it that when I say that Brawl will NOT release until November or December, no one believes me. No, it will not release Q3.
