I'm sitting here after smoking and listening to her album "Far".

Oh my ****ing god. It's so good. I don't get attached to artists too easily, but the quirkyness/catchiness/intelligence has put this album on the same plateau as The Postal Service, Bright Eyes, and The Good Life for me.

I suggest you all go check her out immediately. Here's some to get you hyped:

My sister is in love with Regina Spektor.
"If she proposed to me right now, I'd marry her. And Im straight."
My sister also said shes in love with you.
She was just talking about "Laughing With" right before I clicked the link actually.

Anyway, I agree with you. Regina Spektor is amazingly amazing.

Seriously, I listen to crazy amounts of genres, everything from hardcore like American Nightmare to bands like Sigur Ros and Mogwai to whatever you call Bjork.

But everything I've heard from this girl is straight up amazing, it really reminds me of Bright Eyes in a lot of ways. Tell your sister to check them out if she enjoys Regina Spektor(it's a little less mainstream and different but I think she'll enjoy them, tell her to get the album I'm Wide Awake It's Morning)

lol, all those three are really close in sound.
Regina Specktor's cool. Personally I don't like her upbeat songs, but her sad songs are very beautiful. She's far better without any drums.

American Nightmare and Bjork?

Or are you talking about Sigur Ros, Mogwai and Bjork? lol.

Yeah, idk, I guess I'd say my favorite bands/artists are Mono, Brand New, Alkaline Trio, American Nightmare, Bright Eyes, MF Doom, Cursive, The Get Up Kids, The Good Life and The Postal Service.

I listed a few too many but idk those were the ones that popped into mind. Regina could join them very easily if things keep going the way they're going :O

I seriously don't know the bands you are talking about. But I'm one who listens to a wide variety of music too and must say these 2 songs are really good. *thumbs up*
I like the first one better though.

Utada and Regina Spektor have very very different styles. They're both amazing in their own ways
@Prawn: I'll tell my sister when she gets home. Shes trying to think of songs to put on her iPod when she buys in anyway. I'm sure she'll be pleased lol
