Regarding "Dark" costumes...

Well, the dark costumes seem to be a common pattern so far in playable characters. I'm guessing this means two things...

A. It effects story mode
B. It's a new team color.

I'm guessing many of you have similar views on this.

Yes, I was actually considering the story part... But, anyway, I think and hope that dark will be a team color. It deserves the darkness. And yes he probably showed dark in almost every pick for foreshadowing.

I dont belive that evereyone has a dark suit. But a Team color would be cool. theres no point of having 4 teams though. unless they come up with an 8 man melee (second four slots can only be coms.)

well, this COULD affect Story mode in a certain way, or at least Classic, you know, against your dark self.
well anyways, what dark costumes do we know by now:

-Mario's black costume
-DK's black hair
-Dark Link
-Dark Fox
-Dark Zelda
-Samus' phazon suit
-Pit's "fallen angel" costume
-MAYBE Snake's ordinary suit
-MK's evil-lookin costume
-Sonic's shadow costume?
-Bowser's black shell

Why the idea that a new team color undoes an old team color? Sure, we only need 3 Colorsets, but we only needed 4 total and now we have 6 or so.

Dark/Evil

i think characters with dark costumes will be turn evil in some part of adventure mode while the characters that dont got costumes like that will ethier have light costumes or will just stay normal

I'm predicting that, maybe they took Peach/Zelda for a good reason? Perhaps brainwash one of them into becoming evil. As the story progresses more and more characters will become victims of the subspace emissary army.

wait... i just realized something... im so stupid... dark costumes would go great in the storyline! in many kirby games theres always dark characters including a dark meta knight. and if i recall correctly... we havnt seen any SSE videos showing meta knight... which means the halberd could of been stolen from him by the dark meta knight... it makes since no?

Nobody in Brawl supports Breast Cancer awareness groups, so cut the pink. Breast Cancer awareness has no affiliation with the subspace plot, at all.

They just put in dark colours because that is what the fans want. It won't really be related to anything. Many people, especially Americans (where being "badass" is the coolest thing ever), like having dark characters so put in dark characters. Especially when you're aiming to have at least 6 costumes for each character. Whether or not this is a team is beyond me, but I'll stick with my blues and whites to remain original.
