Sorry if I'm reviving a dead topic, but I think that people need to consider Rayman much more seriously.

1: Ubisoft and Nintendo have excellent relations

2: Rayman is a very smash-esque character; as in, for the most part, he already has a moveset.

^B: Copter hair
B: Shoots fists
VB: Perhaps he could morph into one of his suits from Rayman 3? (Speculation)
>B: Plunger

3: The Great Escape is widely considered to be one of the best platformers of its time, and it was immensely popular. So much, that it was ported onto the Nintendo DS. Rayman 3 was another great platformer on the gamecube, although not as influential as its predecessor. Rayman Raving Rabbids was a launch title, and one of the most popular titles on the Wii thus far. Rayman is keeping up with the Nintendo company quite well, featuring in many games on the Nintendo system.

4: I'm sure that Nintendo wants to maintain Rayman's popularity, being that he is going to be in Nintendo's future. Why not put him in Brawl? Look what the inclusion of Marth and Roy did for Nintendo. It popularized Fire Emblem games into the mainstream. Rayman's inclusion in Brawl would popularize him and make more people interested in future Rayman games.

I don't understand why people bash Rayman and underestimate his chances. I think he has a good shot of getting in. Rayman for Brawl!

SWF is revival friendly, but "bump" posts are frowned upon. You're fine.

that they do

I have suggested that he pull a rabbid out and use like a sheild for Vb, but one of the suits could work

3: The Great Escape is widely considered to be one of the best platformers of its time, and it was immensely popular. So much, that it was ported onto the Nintendo DS. Great Escape was awesome, and Hoodlum Havoc was nice, but not great:( Raving Rabids is doing well, and I'm sure nintendo would like to continue that

4: I'm sure that Nintendo wants to maintain Rayman's popularity, being that he is going to be in Nintendo's future. Why not put him in Brawl? Yes, but Rayman is already well known, while FE was pretty much unheard of outside Japan. Rayman's popularity would gain a boost from brawl though.

I don't understand why people bash Rayman and underestimate his chances. I think he has a good shot of getting in. Rayman for Brawl!
It's cause he's "cartoony" with the no limbs thing, and people want Sukapon too.

That no limbs is a dumb argument. People 1st said that no smash characters can walk on 4 legs until Ivysaur said Hi. Rayman can still punch & kick even with no limbs. So whoever believes taht is a down-to-right fool.

If Sukapon doesn't get in...then yeah, Rayman should be in. It all comes down to if Sukapon is in or not.

Oh yeah, McDonald's food sux.

I would like to see Rayman join. One of the funniest game characters, recent especially, with move variation that would work well.

I'm for it.

This crossing over would be... epic with Metal Gear Solid, Sonic the Hedgehog and Nintendo. Just... yes...

Are you sure those sites are reliable?

I mean, I'm not totally against Rayman. But it's just his popularity is well... mouse-to-elephant ratio compared to Megaman's fanbase. Do you know how mad they would be if Rayman got in and their beloved Megaman didn't? I couldn't imagine what they would do to Capcom.

I think Rayman woyld fit Brawl perfectly
A moveset based on Rayman 3 would be fine, something like this:

Standart B: Punch Throwing
Hold to shoot further, if charge for some time it becomes Vortex.

Side B: Rocket Launcher (or something like this)
A guided missile Launcher

Down B: Throw his own body on the floor
This move is from Rayman 3 GBA version, would work similar to Kirby, Bowser or Yoshi Down B

Up B: Lockjaw
Similar to Zamus or Ivyssaur Up B

FS: Heavy Metal Fist + Super Helicopter
A combination of two of Rayman 3 abilities, increases Rayman power and allows him to fly

Also somethings he does in his games could become taunts, like the grimace, or play basketball with his own boddy.
He could do something similar to glide with his copter hair

Oh, Crazy Hand and Master Hand are both Rayman's hands (sorry for the awful joke, I had to do this one)

Well. although his chances arn't to good, although I think he may have a small chance due to ubisoft being ultra friendly to nintendo with the wii.

His A attacks would be a bunch of kicks and punches.

B^: Helicopter hair, he would spin his hair and would damage anyone in the way, would be kinda simular to dk's up B move.

B>: Throws a plunger out, doesn't do to much damage but knocks back pretty far.

B: Rapidly tosses lums, little damage and knockback but can be used rapidly, a little slower then foxes blaster.

Bv: Disco dance, does a few dance moves and anyone who sees him is stuned for a little while, simular to mewtwos confusion.

His special: he would do his disco dance move then the player that was cought in it would start danceing as well and a bunch of bunnies would pop out of nowhere and start attacking.
here's mine moveset
B^: Helicopter hair: he would spin his hair and would damage anyone in the way, would be kinda simular to dk's up B move.

B:pluger gun : uses pluger gun like in R.R.R.

B v : bunny : pulls a bunny from the ground simaler to peaches b v move

B <>: thunder ball : throws a thunder ball can be charged like samus b move

i just thought about it. - rayman has a good shot if their considering more than 3 third-party chars (which they are apparently)

- He's the mascot of the third party company.
- He's pretty retro - been around since '92.
- He's appeared on 4 nintendo systems.
- Ubisoft is a huge third party supporter of Nintendo, supplying tons of titles to help with the wii's launch, and continual support throughout 07.
- Ubisoft is a big third party company. Big.
- Visually and physically he's perfect for the smash world.

Not using his normal B move as his super punch is a crime, in my opinion. I don't even know if that's what it's called, but I remember it being his signature move in the original Rayman(the only one I've played). Holding down B charges it, the more it's charged, the farther it's launched.
I agree entirely, that's the first thing I think of when I hear Rayman!

Yeah I had Rayman 1 for the PC. Excellent game. I was younger when I first played it so I badly needed a strategy guide to get all the cages. What's worse was that some of the cage in the PC version were in FAR different locations than in the Playstation version, so finding the right strategy guide was a pain in the *** as well.

Anyways, I got Rayman Anniversary Collection for PC which includes Rayman 2, Rayman 3, and Rayman Arena. I've heard good things about R2 and R3 so I'm pumped to play them.

Rayman would be a great add-on for Brawl. He's a typical Brawler since he's got all the moves; a helicopter, a fist, projectile lums,... and Rabbids as ATs are just a given.

I can see it happen easily since Ubisoft is so close with Nintendo.

Rayman would be awesome!!
only i think they should have more raving rabbids in his move set
like his FS could be a stampade of Raving Rabbids!!

Reasonable FS is reasonable.

Maybe we could have Rayman actually being attacked by the Rabbids along with it. They run around the screen, doing medium damage with lulzy attacks with some knockback?

In other words, King DeDeDe's FS, only less broken and more fun?

Let's suppose that the Megaman not in Brawl thing is true. Does it make Rayman odds something near to high?

The Rabbids are more pop0ular than Rayman :/

they only used him because ubisoft needed a slightly familiar name to get the series going.

I've heard that the Rabbids may be getting their own spin-off series without Rayman. So that may mean more Rayman platforms in the future. But expect to see Rabbid cameos or enemies in some levels. Ubi-Soft likes to put references to their own games. Some people are saying that the Rabbid's popularity almost match Rayman's own.

The Rabbid series has become much more popular. It's too bad that Rayman has declined, but Rabbid series has been very well received among Wii gamers.
