Slippy( GET THESE GUYS OFF ME)

Chance: 40%- He's easily the second most likely Star Fox rep, and I think Sakurai might favor him over Krystal just because it's Slippy.

Want: 100%- He's my favorite Star Fox character, and he has lot of moveset potential. I could see him using the more advanced/heavy weapons that Star Fox has.

Mewtwo

Chance: 80%- Everyone loves and requests him.

Want: 10%- Mewtwo is easily one of my least favorite Pokémon, and I'd rather have a Pokémon newcomer than a character that I can already play as in Melee.

Funky Kong Prediction

1.95%- He has to deal with Dixie, K. Rool, and Cranky.

Slippy Toad chance analyzed.
Chance: 9%
Despite Japan liking him, the fact that pretty much every other country hates him really hurts him. However, on the same note, Slippy is just such a stupid and ridiculous idea, it might just happen.
Want: 70%
The amount of butthurt that this character would cause will be absolutely beautiful. However, I don't want Slippy purely for ironic reasons. In fact, Slippy is my favorite Star Fox character, believe it or not. Not to mention Slippy really is the only character besides Krystal that I can see having a moveset that wouldn't be clone-ish to Fox.

Mew 2: Electric Boogaloo
Chance: 99.99%
He's the only character who I'm confident is an absolute shoe-in. He's the most requested character worldwide, and since he's technically a veteran he really shouldn't be too hard to implement.
Want: 80%
He wasn't my main in Melee, but I can definitely sympathize with everyone upset with him being absent from Brawl. He was a unique character with a large following, so cutting him was just simply a perplexing decision. Why was he even a low priority character in the first place? Honestly, that was probably my biggest gripe with Brawl. I can live without the last-minute clones, but no Mewtwo is simply a no-no in my book. Here's to hoping he's more useful in this game.

Funky Kong prediction: 1.38%

Nom: PT Pokemon (no trainer) X5

Also, Groose, quick question. Can you stack extra nominations? By which I mean, if you already have 5 unused noms, and you win another 5, does that mean you have 10 extra noms?

Slippy Toad

Chance - 12.5% - I knew he had to be a bit lower than Krystal, but anything lower than 5% seemed a bit too harsh. An average of the two scores seemed to be the best choice, then. I'm willing to bet you that it's going to be Slippy if not Krystal, as he seems to be the most iconic character after her and those included in Brawl. A tech-based move set could also end up catching Sakurai's interest, but I just don't see another Star Fox character happening very soon.

Want - 45% - Admittedly, a more Sci-Fi tech based move set could have my interest, but I'm not too interested in giving Star Fox more characters.

Mewtwo - 99.5% - Yep, same as last time. Really, there is no reason for him to be not in, and I'm not certain if an argument could be put up. The only reason I'm not going higher is that there are some unknown variables surrounding cut veterans, so I feel I cannot go higher on principal.

Want - 99% - Out of the non-Brawl veterans, he takes third place after a first place tie between Ridley and Palutena. As I have reserved 100% want for that, that's what he gets.

Funky Kong Prediction - 1.05% - K. Rool and Dixie fans are going to have his head on a platter.

Well, it's the moment a few of you are waiting for. I promised overkill, and you guys are getting supreme overkill!

Slippy Toad
Pros
-He's a member of Star Fox, making him a very important character. We have two Star Fox characters already, Fox and Falco. There's not much left for Slippy by itself.
-Story Wise, he's kept relevant by not only being in Star Fox in every game, but also appearing in every single game!
-He has some battle potential. Remember he was playable in Star Fox Assault. Yes, it was for filler, but he had the unique attribute of having high jumps and the like.
Cons
-Blue Fox. Machine Guns. Staff. The Blue Fox is the main opponent of Slippy here. And she's got a very good damn lead.
-Other than that battle potential I noted, he's also got another problem. He's usually kept himself to a backroom-esque role, standing by and assisting rather than helping in the fight.
-His notoriety for being weak makes him rather not very great for a fighter. We already have a character in that nature, so it's not really unique. Unlike Slippy, however, this character is very active in his role, and far more-combat ready.
-Is it really that likely we are getting a Star Fox character?
On the Issue of Krystal VS Slippy
-Krystal has a far more active role. She may have been designed to be a romantic interest but she's an active character in Star Fox (Command? What is Command?) and a character that within the process of a game or two has shown more power and potential than Slippy. He's been the analytic character all this time and he hasn't shown much promise to go outside of it.
-Krystal can be more unique than Slippy. The staff alone, used or not, makes Slippy seem more to be a clone.

OVERALL RATING:

Want- Fair Warning, but prepare your eyes for horrific torture. I am (read: not at all :troll:) sorry.
If this dance didn't want to make you gouge your eyes out, then enjoy this.
Did that? No? Maybe this:

Did this make you want to vomit? It made JonTron. If not, I don't know what will. The absolute anger that is him never being able to keep a bogey off his tail?

If you don't get where I am going already, Slippy has the distinctive trait of being my least favorite Nintendo character of all time. I'm absolutely disgusted by him, that dance, and I'm completely horrified at the same time. To most, it is obvious that Slippy should seriously not be on the front lines. I'm absolutely angered when he manages to get himself in trouble at the worst time (IE: When in Assault, to unlock Wolf you have to get a Star Medal, which requires no one Retires in any mission) and I have to haul my arse to go find him.
Here is my reaction if he was playable:

No thank you, No thank you.
00.00% for Slippy, have a good day. If need be we rerate this nightmareish frog for ANY REASON, I'll just quote this post.

:mewtwopm:- CL
I'm taking Mewtwo dead seriously, if you didn't understand that console log earlier. Mewtwo is one of the characters I consider to be an absolute shoo-in. And I'll explain why below.

-Mewtwo has been requested the absolutely most. Above almost any Newcomer, above any Veteran. This trend has been seen worldwide as is. If you look at trends, Japan wants him. Europe wants him. Americans want him. All of my friends generally say that Mewtwo is one of the characters they want to see in 4. And if you didn't get it already, while Nintendo generally doesn't listen to petitions and the like, they will listen to stuff like this. Sakurai got it that people wanted Sonic in Brawl. So they added him. And what happened? It was recieved greatly and changed the way we think about characters. Requests flocked everywhere for a certain blue bomber for Smash 4. And what did we get? We got Megaman! So what's to say that Sakurai didn't listen already and added him back?

-Mewtwo is very reasonable. I'm not even sure why I am writing this section, but people think that Pokemon won't get 5 slots. Pokemon simply is a franchise with not only a madhouse popularity the level of Mario, but has so many good choices. It's like Rareware in the 90's with their games! On the point that Mewtwo is reasonable, we'll move on to my next point.

-Mewtwo is absolutely popular as Pikachu. Why? Well, if you take a look...
=Mewtwo was the original "queen" of Pokemon back in early generations. What was right behind Pikachu was Mewtwo. The reason for a lack of him in 64 was literally time constraints. Which Sakurai has a massive problem with if we haven't noticed already.
=Mewtwo has many movies related to him. The Original, Mewtwo Returns, and Genesect VS Mewtwo. This is a sign that he's kind of a big deal.
=Mewtwo has two Mega Evolutions. That's a title held by only Charizard, who is right behind him in popularity.
=His cut in Brawl was the most controversial. Many questioned why he was cut. And even then, it wasn't intentional. Speaking of which...

-Fun Fact: Did you know that he wasn't supposed to be cut? It's because of Sakurai's one weakness; Sakurai can't ever meet his time constraints! Seriously, if you take a look at each Smash Bros game, you can see Sakurai failing to meet it every time (No offense to Sakurai, though. He runs out of time because the quality of the games is very high, and he wants to make his goals.)
=64: Mewtwo, Bowser and Dedede were planned, then cut because they ran out of time.
=Melee: Snake was planned, then cut (Not enough time to put him in, "Too late in development, wouldn't be able to make time constraints" according to Sakurai
=Brawl: Forbidden 7 (Including Mewtwo) were cut due to time constraints.
So can we throw out this whole "Lucario replaced Mewtwo arguement?" And this whole "Priority" Thing as well? They don't make any sense at all.

-Clone Logic is seriously dumb. Sharing one move makes them a clone? By that Logic, a ton of characters are "Clones": Marth/Ike, Megaman/Sonic, Mario/Luigi, Charizard/Bowser, Kirby/Dedede, etc. Mewtwo and Lucario have different movesets, and they do not play the same at ALL. One special does not make a character a clone. Mewtwo is a character that is floaty (See: Bubsy). Lucario is a boxer-type character with a projectile and is much heavier. I could go onto a massive tangent but you understand the details already. They are different. So by this, Mewtwo is easily unique from the rest of the roster. Now to make it a point.

-Mewtwo is already unique, but apparantly people STILL think he's a clone. There's a heavy distinction between him and the rest of the cast, as his playstyle is a strange one. Elements of Doctor Doom, Zangief, and M. Bison. I don't see that in any other character from Smash Bros! Lucario, on the other hand, draws from Ryu and many other traditional fighting game characters, but not from what Mewtwo draws from.

-Sakurai himself has made many regards about Mewtwo already during SBB4''s development.
"I am thinking about adding Mewtwo". This already is a bombshell hint that he's talking not only about the fact that he'd be a great way to advertise Mega Evolutions, but it would generate a ton of hype!

-Mewtwo is still relevant. He got a 3rd Movie last year. He's catchable in X&Y. Is it not obvious enough at this point? He's still an icon in the legendary series and the most famous Legendary Pokemon of all time. He's also still currently the only publically revealed Mega Evolution for a legendary (Lati@s is not official but confirmed to be in the game's data). He's the most likely inclusion. Even for people who cut heavily, he's above the competition.

-He'd be a great way to advertise X&Y. With his two Mega evolutions and catchability, and his most recent appearance in Genesect VS Mewtwo, it's a smart way to showcase those Megas. Oh, by the way, he's also going to be in the next movie. Along with other Megas. So, even better way to advertise it then.

For my final point...
-There is literally no negative to hurt his inclusion. Lucario was a shoo-in and was not going to hurt Mewtwo's chances at all. PT nor Jigglypuff hurt Mewtwo either. And Pikachu? Mewtwo works as a villainous character in Pokemon, becoming Pikachu's rival would make it feel more concrete of a series. If Mewtwo is put up against the possible newcomers they can't hold a candle to Mewtwo.

BULLETS DEPLETED
SEEK COVER TO RELOAD

Now, we arrive at the final point. What rating to I give Mewtwo?
And this is what I will say.
With my above evidence and Sakurai's statements, I find no reason to think that there is any chance that Mewtwo was not put in/not being put in. In the words of Axle, I define Mewtwo as shoo-in and give him a (Since he hasn't been obviously confirmed, and you know I hate giving out 100.00%)
99.99%. @ Groose Groose , hopefully I've given you enough information to warrant it. I tried my hardest to make sure this has as little bias as possible. I don't give out near-absolutes, but I feel like this one is the most justified and will likely be the most justified it will ever get for any competitor.

Want:
100.00%- Again, I'm going to say something.
You think I give a logic bullet out and fire it when I just feel like it?
No. I give out Logic Bullets when it's really important, and needs my attention.
Mewtwo is a very, very, VERY IMPORTANT DAY I have been looking to! Seriously! HE is the special case! My previous logic bullets have been for:
Wii Fit Trainer (Justifying to a user that I was able to predict WFT and that I didn't predict Megaman at all)
Shulk- (During my Rating)
Yarne & Owain (During my Rating)
I wanted Mewtwo to have a special logic bullet. One packed with information, arguement and reason that he's pretty much in. One to smack down any sort of thought that he's not in, or not that likely. While I may have not beaten you in a rating's length (Them Phoenix Wright and Von Karma images), I've done my best to be close. This will likely be the most jam-packed and biggest rating I'll ever do for Pre-SSB4's RTC. Mewtwo is special to me thanks to my upbringing with Pokemon, and he holds the spot of my second favorite Pokemon of all time.
But that's only part of why I want Mewtwo!
In my childhood, there was a certain feeling I had when I saw Mewtwo in Melee. It was a feeling of sublime joy and happiness. Back then, I did't really like or care about my current favorites ahead, Miltank and Scizor. So back then, Mewtwo was my favorite Pokemon. In Brawl, I was absolutely heartbroken when I finished the roster and Mewtwo wasn't in it. Angry. Not happy at all. I did heavy research and eventually learned about the Forbidden 7. I accepted it that Mewtwo was going to be in Brawl, but was cut for time. I had gotten used to Sakurai running out of it. When Mewtwo was revealed for PM, I got that exact feeling again. That supreme joy you get. 'When you're staring out into the sunset, and you say, "What if?"' (JonTron) I think that sums it up completely. When I get to finally see that badass in glorious HD, I'll get that exact feeling yet again. It will be sublime for me. Very, very sublime.

Funky Kong
-While he may be the king in Mario Kart 6 Online, he certainly isn't on the warzone that is Donkey Kong characters and newcomers! Cranky, Dixie Kong and K Rool take far more active roles and are much more important to the story. Funky is kind of just there. 1.3%

@ Groose Groose : Shouldn't OOD and Smasher get 10 extra nominations for guessing 0.03% on the dot?

Slippy - 0%
Let's see, he's a character from an already overrepresented, comatose franchise who is overshadowed by the ever popular Krystal. What he has going for him is...an old internet meme. Yeah, there's simply no way he gets into SSB4, nor any future Smash without Star Fox seeing a huge revival.
Want - 0% - Star Fox really shouldn't see a fourth character, and on the off chance it does, it absolutely should be Krystal.

Mewtwo - 80%
Y'know what, I think I nailed this the first time (since we basically knew all we needed to know about Mewtwo's role in X/Y prior to release), so copy paste time!

Honestly, there's not a lot to say against Mewtwo. He is by far the most requested of the characters cut from Melee, and he even beats out all newcomer prospects. Heck, based on Shortie's poll he even beats out a hefty chunk of Brawl's cast. He's the only cut character with a unique moveset, one that somewhat inspired Lucario but is still very different. He's even become relevant again thanks to a new form in the next Pokemon generation and soon an appearance in a third movie (!!!).

Any arguments against him are pretty weak. There's the idea that Pokemon has a ton of other viable characters to use, but few have his popularity and name/image recognition. One could also say the first generation is too represented in Smash, but that's mostly due to its enduring fame and importance compared to other generations, not any real fault of Smash's. Then there's the simple fact that he was cut from Brawl, though given Sonic's late inclusion, it's quite possible he was just unlucky. Overall, I don't want to say he's a lock (few characters are), but among characters not in Brawl, he's one of the most likely.

Want - 50% - Not really a fan, but hey, he's Mewtwo! Having a playable legendary Pokemon in Smash, especially one as infamous as him, really is a nice thing to have.
Funky Kong Prediction - 2.2%
Is this because he was pegged as an AT in one of the many dubious "leaks" we've had? Seems kinda random despite his numerous minor appearances over the years.

Chances of having four Star Fox reps is about 25%. I see a 95% chance of Falco returning and a 95% chance of Wolf returning. That gives us a 35% of a newcomer.

Star Fox most likely won't get another playable character, but stranger things have happened. If Star Fox somehow gets another rep it's going to be Slippy or Krystal, but either way I'm not interested.

Out of all of the cut characters from Melee, Mewtwo has the biggest chance to make a comeback. Personally I'm indifferent to him since I never used him in Melee.

Abstaining from Slippy

Mewtwo
Chances: 95% Has a lot going for him this time around, back in the spotlight due to the movie, pushed heavily via the Mega Evolution mechanic (and is actually one of their posterboys), the most popular character wanted for the game and regained its role as the extra legendary in the Pokémon Village cave. There's really nothing stopping him aside from Sakurai not wanting to readd a cut character and even then he's mentioned he's thinking about adding Mewtwo anyway.
Want: 80% Loved him in Melee and liked his movie as a kid, would love to have him back.

StarFox could get another character, and it comes down to either Slippy or Krystal. Krystal is more popular and has more to go off of for making a unique moveset, so I don't think Slippy will be picked over her.

Want: 95%
I'll be honest. I really don't understand the Slippy hate. I've played the original and StarFox 64, but I didn't find him annoying or anything.

Mewtwo:
Likelihood: 99%
Taking off 1% because he hasn't been confirmed yet. Mewtwo is the poster-boy of Gen 6, getting not one, but two mega evos, got a film and has been really prominent in advertising Pokémon X/Y. All of this just screams shoo-in.

Want: 100%
I wasn't actually that interested in him a few months ago, as I had given his a 65% want last time. But I watched the Pokémon origins recently and finally got to play Project M a couple of days back, and I hopped aboard the hype train too.

Okay, let's be honest; Krystal is the obvious next choice for a Starfox rep, and we've been getting them pretty consistently since Smash 64, probably the most consistent franchise overall with a single newcomer each game.

10% may seem high, but bare the following in mind: The series nosedived in popularity in Japan after Starfox 64, so perhaps Japan would prefer the original Starfox characters(aka not Krystal) included to represent the series? If that's the case Slippy is the next most logical character to go to unless Sakurai decides to make Team Wolf have equal representation as Team Starfox and then Leon's up to bat.

Peppy could be considered over Slippy, but arguable since he retired from the team after 64, whilst Slippy is a more reoccurring teammate.

Want: 20%
This is not the Toad I'm looking for.

I'd honestly prefer Krystal, as I'm concerned to make Slippy unique you'd have to borrow aspects off of Yoshi(like his frog tongue for example) or else he'll end up an inferior clone of Fox and Falco. He is a mechanic so there's something to play around with there.

Maybe I have a higher tolerance of annoying characters or something, because I'm not entirely against the idea of Slippy being in...it's 'badass' characters I can't stand; looking at you Falco.

Mewtwo
Chance: 95%
Mewtwo is the most popular Smash request for Smash 4, is a cut Melee vet that has been planned for every single game since Smash 64 and yet he's only appeared in 1/3. Kinda rubbish.

Time for him to even the odds, and he has pretty damn good odds considering the above, that he's the second most popular Pokemon of ALL TIME(second to Charizard), has starred in the Genesect and Pokemon Origins movies recently, has been awarded TWO different Mega forms(with the only other Pokemon being Charizard to get that treatment) and that he's one of the few legendaries to stand the test of time as an icon.

Want: 75%
Alright; it's a good score, but I'm basing my want off of the Pokemon Mewtwo and past Smash's Mewtwo combined. He was crap in Smash. Let's be honest here; he couldn't even duck right. Other projectiles that others merely ducked over; Mewtwo was too damn tall and got pelted with.
He had some strong throws, but that was about all that Mewtwo had going for him.

If he's getting in again I want Sakurai to change him up something fierce. The most powerful Pokemon of all time currently has a Smash record of quite easily being able to lose to Pichu, a baby Pokemon and Smash's JOKE character. Pathetic. A lot of people used to joke about Mewtwo being so weak and useless, which is something I wouldn't like to see return.

Another small issue affecting my want of Mewtwo is the amount of Pokemon out there. With Lucario returning, Pikachu a lock, Jigglypuff an inevitability, and the possibility that Trainer returns in tack...

...well, it's boring isn't it? I'd prefer a newcomer Pokemon; someone we haven't seen before. If said someone is Mega Mewtwo X or Y, then I'd settle for that providing they play as far away from floaty and weak Melee Mewtwo as possible.

A long and awesome post including the line:

While I may have not beaten you in a rating's length (Them Phoenix Wright and Von Karma images), I've done my best to be close.
I would like to point out that, by words, you have beaten groose.

His frankly epic Yarne Owaine post reached 1019 by my word counter, while this post reached 2155... which to my knowledge puts you SECOND to my 2792 words for Slime :p.

*stretches with a smug grin on his face*

EDIT: for the record, Yoshi and Toad you were 1317 on Toad's third rate, if only you had added 20 more words...

Chances: 5%: It could happen, I guess. But it's safe to say we're likely to keep the three Star Fox characters we had in Brawl. And if we were to see another one, it'd likely be Krystal, as she has something different to offer from the get-go

Want: 10%: Solely for the reactions we could get from all over the internet. It'd be pretty funny.

Mewtwo

Chances: 90%: One thing we should get out of the way. Sakurai was quoted saying "We're thinking about it" when asked on whether or not Mewtwo would be added into Smash 4. That alone should help his chances a good bit. Now, this does not mean he's a shoe-in, but it does give him a fighting chance. What gets in his way is the same exact thing with Brawl, time constants.

Last time Mewtwo(along with Roy and Doctor Mario)got the shaft because of Sonic being added at the very last second, eating up all of the development time. This would likely be Mewtwo's problem again if the roster was already finalized by E3 last year. So any additional characters would need to be worked on after the initial set of characters.

So yeah, the moral of the story is, Sonic screwed over Mewtwo not Lucario. But this time Sonic or any third party characters probably won't screw over Mewtwo since no one was added in at the last minute.....yet.

Want: 80%: I do like Mewtwo, and I feel he was unique enough to warrant coming back. I would like it if he was buffed though.

Part of my goal is to raise awareness for the Ace Attorney series. It's not like the other games I enjoy--not a whole lot of people know about it. If I can get a bunch of people hooked, I'll be happy. And I don't chew anyone up for want scores---I considered giving Yarne/Owain some love there, but I just couldn't.
Hahaha, understandable, I can't say I've played many games where I've genuinely felt somewhat defeated. "This piece of evidence is bothering me...but why? I know there's something wrong with this...but I just can't see it!" Panic button initiated. Or the elation when you can prove a client's innocent.

lets face it slippy is annoying, but just all the jokes about the guy and just how much the world hates him, would just make me laugh from all the buthurt that it will bring, then i'll feel a bit sad,
plus I gotta say, I kinda like the guy, he grew on me, still kill him quite often in 64 though

If he wants to get in over Krystal (and Star Fox doesn't even need anyone else) he's going to need some major "HELP!"

Want: 75%
Is it wrong to want Slippy? He'd be a great troll character for sure.

MEWTWO:

Chance: 99%
Mewtwo is the closest that any character will ever get to being a shoo-in. Mewtwo has been made completely relevant again by being featured in two movies in a row (Extremespeed Genesect and Origins), receiving TWO Mega Evolutions (a feat only matched by Charizard), and basically being the posterboy for Pokémon X and Y. That being said, if Sakurai marches down to Gamefreak and asks them which Pokémon to add to Smash Bros 4, there is a 99% chance that they say "Mewtwo". Not to mention Mewtwo's enormous popularity not only in the Pokémon fanbase, but in the Smash Bros fanbase as well! The backlash when Mewtwo was cut from the Smash Bros roster was huge, and Mewtwo is currently the most requested character for SSB4 by a long shot. Basically everyone can agree that Mewtwo should and very well could return (except for the idiots who think that Lucario does anything to his chance). Last but certainly not least, SAKURAI HAS HINTED AT MEWTWO BEING A CHARACTER IN SSB4! Why would he say "we're thinking about it" if he wasn't doing just that? And given Sakurai's trollish nature, giving us a little tip like that is right up his alley. All this and more is why I consider Mewtwo the most likely character for Super Smash Bros 4.

Want: 100%
Come on, who doesn't like Mewtwo? He's so cool, he's got a super unique moveset, and he's basically the greatest Pokémon on the face of the Earth.

Funky Kong: 2.75%
King K. Rool, Dixie, and even Cranky will get in over Funky. Although I would love to hear "AYYAHAII" in Smash Bros.

Slippy Toad - 2%

A Starfox newcomer is unlikely as it is already.

Want - 0%

No thanks.

Mewtwo - 99%
Mewtwo is by far the most popular Pokemon currently, and the most commonly requested character for Smash 4 worldwide. As Sakurai has stated he chooses Pokemon based on their current popularity. this says quite a lot.

And in term of relevance, Mewtwo, along with it's Mega Y form were heavily promoted for the two most recent Pokemon games, as well as a new anime special. The previously mentioned form could also potentially be it's Final Smash, or even, less likely a transformation, but that's besides the point: Everything is set for Mewtwo to make a return, the closest character Smash 4 has to a shoo-in, and even then, Mewtwo is not a character we can all be certain of, though I would be very shocked if Mewtwo did not return.

Want - 100%
A badass, superpowerful and savage Pokemon with huge potential, yes please! Mewtwo is one of the few characters I really, REALLY want badly, but even still, his extremely unlikely exclusion would not be a deal breaker for me, I'd buy the game even if Mewtwo did not make a comeback.

Funky Kong Prediction - 7.43%
I'm not sure on this one. This should be interesting.

Slippy:

Chance: 10%
The only reason he would get in is if Sakurai sees him as more important than other starfox character i.e. Kyrstal. This is very unlikely.
Want: 30% I could wait another smash game or two for slippy

Mewtwo:

Chance: 80%
If Sakurai decides to put in two new pokereps then Mewtwo probably won't get in, under any other circumstance he will. He was in Melee, planned for Brawl, and got a gen 6 evolution.
Want: 100%
One of my favorite Smash characters and one of my Project M mains.

Also for those who say otherwise, Lucario has nothing to do with Mewtwo getting in. Both were planned for Brawl and both got mega evos. If anything it strengthens Mewtwo's chances because they are both "old pokemon" if Lucario can return so can Mewtwo.

While I don't want to risk getting into something unnecessary here, but.... I fail to see how Lucario affects Mewtwo's chances. At all.
For me, it's when a rating bucks a significant trend without any explanation whatsoever. When people use the words "In my opinion" in the same column of realistic chances, I feel like it's a very biased rating.

Guys; tbf he IS right about this bit ^ We all know Mewtwo sucked in Melee. C'mon.

Better be better this time round.
I was a former Mewtwo Main after I lost my touch with Sheik. I played M2 for years and I felt he was one of the better characters(though that's likely because I liked his playstyle and knew how to use that kind of grappler character along with spacing.
So I'll agree to disagree.

Slippy Toad:

Chance: .1%
Listen to me. He is a character from a currently dormant series that already has too many reps for its own good and has an obvious frontrunner should a newcomer happen. I'm sorry, but Slippy is quite simply not happening.

Want: 11%
I'd laugh. I'd probably even use him. The sheer hilarity of it all would get to me. But if he got in before any of my more wanted characters, I'd go on a killing streak.

Mewtwo:

Chance: 90%
We already know that he's been considered. The only real obstacle in his way is Sakurai's possibly wanting to add a complete newcomer this time around...but I don't see that happening.

Want: 100%
I love Mewtwo. He was terrible in Melee, but I'm confident that he'll be changed for the better with Namco-Bandai on board.

Prediction for Funky Kong: 2.23%
Has series competition from one of our elites and several other semi-popular characters without being highly requested himself? Sounds like a Magnus to me. Let's see how close Funky gets.

Slippy Toad

Yeah, the guy who's known for getting his ass kicked all the time is gonna get in. Seems unlikely. On the other hand, if Sakurai wanted to throw a curveball, Slippy could have an interesting move set, in that he could have some frog-based moves.

But I mean... the ideal you'd want for that would be Frog from Chrono Trigger.

But yeah, Star Fox getting another rep seems not too likely to me, and it being Slippy seems less likely as well.

Slippy chances: 1%

Slippy want: 20%
Yeah, not really.

Mewtwo

I said 92% before. I still think he's one of the most likely characters to get in who wasn't in Brawl, but I think things are maybe not that assured. Also, Lucario hurts his chances slightly, since he can no longer get in by taking Lucario's spot (he can still get in by taking PT's spot, or getting a new Pokemon slot though).

Still, high rating.

Mewtwo chances: 82.5%

Mewtwo want: 55%
Not too high. I didn't like him in Melee, and I don't care that much about him generally. BUT, he might be fun if he's fixed to be a bit less... crappy.

I'd honestly be surprised if someone actually wanted Slippy. He's normally hated anywhere you look. Still, I suppose the rage over his possible inclusion would be both hilarious and alarming. But mostly hilarious. Can you imagine it? He'd have a a green Landmaster and everything. And his horrible dancing skills too. Can't forget those.

If we get another Star Fox character, it is most likely going to be Krystal. Slippy is a possibility, but I don't see him (or Krystal) that likely.

He's one of the most annoying Nintendo characters. It would be cool, but I'd prefer someone else.

Now, the World's Strongest Pokémon, Mewtwo!

Chance: 90%
I'd be really surprised if it is not playable. VERY popular character and the most wanted character for Smash 4. Still relevant because of the Mewtwo VS Genesect Movie and being one of two Pokémon to have two Mega Evolutions. It is the closest thing to a shoo-in we have.

Want: 100%
It's Mewtwo. Who wouldn't want Mewtwo.

If Star Fox even got a fourth rep, picking Slippy would be a deliberate, obvious troll on Sakurai's part.

Want: 5%
From what little I have played of Star Fox, I know enough and have heard enough from around the internet to conclude that Slippy is a terrible character. Would the rage from Star Fox fans be palpable enough to warrant bothering to include him? Probably not, but it's funny to think about.

Mewtwo

Chance: 100%
It's no secret that the aftermath of the fiery hype of Brawl has caused SSB4's development to be heavily scrutinized by fans. Now, more than ever before, Nintendo needs the Smash series to be successful. Sakurai may flit about with his "surprise" characters, and he may stay cheeky and coy all the while with reveals, but when it comes right down to it he is under an immense amount of pressure from all sides to make SSB4 the game that will save the Wii U. He is facing a humongous, ferocious beast of cynicism and worry, but he's got an arsenal of firepower called his development team, and the highest caliber bullet in his pocket is named Mewtwo. here's no way he won't take that shot.

Want: 100%
No Mewtwo, no sale.

Funky Kong: 0.33%
If we're going this second-rate, why settle for Funky Kong? Chunky Kong for SSB4!
