My apologies for triple posting. Please don't pull a Monokuma and punish me moderators.

I always lmao at his cameo in Billy and Mandy

It's true that Hanna-Barbera hasn't gotten much attention to say the least, but Yogi Bear has been an evergreen character for so long that he makes so much sense. He's still getting material here and there to my knowledge, and he's iconic for sure. Even with the odds stacked against him for not being a heavy-hitting fan favorite or having too much shill potential, I still think he's got a realistic shot.

Want: 50%

I did watch some of the cartoons as a kid and I do remember watching the live-action film which I remember being just ok. But even with that mild nostalgia I don't feel much of anything about Yogi Bear. He's one of those characters like Fred Flintstone or Rosie the Robot where I can totally respect the inclusion and I do see him being a great match for the game. But otherwise I just don't care.

Manga/anime characters are still a big question mark for MultiVersus, and even putting aside the miniscule connection to Warner Bros, I don't see this being feasible. From my research, Urusei Yatsura is very popular in Japan, but it never really took off here in the West. And even if it did gain some traction, it still has to tackle with the likes of DBZ, One Piece, Naruto, JoJo, and other manga franchises that have stronger ties to Warner Bros and are much more marketable to the western audiences which this game is clearly appealing to.

Want: 50%

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but I have zero experience with this franchise or even have much knowledge on it. Thus, I don't have any strong feelings on it.

Ted Turner is a human from the real world who...oh come on. Do you really expect a history lesson on who Ted Turner is? I think a sizable chunk of the MultiVersus fandom know who Ted Turner is.

Regardless, I think he's even less plausible than LeBron James. Sure, Ted has a lot more WB connections on his place, but has anyone even seen him fight? At all? At least LeBron is athletic.

Want: 0%
I draw the line at real people entering a fighting game centered around fictional characters. You want to make a fighting game with real people in it? Fine. Just make the real people the focal point instead of shoehorning them into a crossover.

But who in their right mind would ask for Ted Turner in MultiVersus? If the guy's catalog is anything to go by, he should receive residuals for Shaggy, Tom and Jerry, The Powerpuff Girls, and even Bugs Bunny appearing in this game. I'd sooner ask for the AVGN over Ted Turner, because that's a persona of a person, not a real person.

He's super smart! In every way!

Krypto the Superdog is Superman's pet canine from Krypton. As is to be expected, he can fly, shoot laser beams and produce an ear-piercing bark. And that's just for starters. Not to mention that he even got his own theatrical feature film and a Scooby-Doo crossover movie within the past two years. Speaking of Scooby, his own cartoon show from the mid-2000s took inspiration from Hanna-Barbera, and he even used the Dynomutt pose in the opening.

Want: 75%
This high want rating goes multiple ways for me. Not only do I like seeing wacky picks added to a fighting game roster, but he adds another Superman character to the roster. This is why I've warmed up in Nubia, because at least she's not a Batman character. We have three of those already.

Superman's loyal dog. His origin had changed over the years, though is most often actually Kal-el's childhood dog from Krypton. Krypto has always been a really interesting part of Superman lore. First introduced during the 50s during a particularly weird and inventive time in Superman's history, alongside other animal characters like Streaky the Supercat and Beppo the Supermonkey. Unlike those, Krypto has stayed around, being often paired with Superboy in modern times.

Krypto has also had a pretty big presence outside of comics. He got his own cartoon in the 2000s, and was also the lead of the film League of Superpets, which was actually pretty successful, and he also had a direct to streaming crossover with Scooby-Doo last year. He's also set to have some kind of role in next year's Superman movie. He's recurring enough in DC that he wouldn't be completely out of the blue. He does have to contend with other Superman characters like Lex Luthor, Braianc and Supergirl. The option for Shaggy and Scooby vs Supes and Krypto duo battles is something I could see them wanting to tap into

We have evidence Krypto was seemingly considered for Injustice 2, so DC aren't opposed to putting the super powered pooch into a fighting game. We know the team have an interest in including weirder more off the wall picks, which Superman's dog would definitely count towards. I suppose there's also the issue of him issue being hard to develop for, but we already had Raindog so I don't think it would be a big issue. I don't think he's coming any time soon, but it's not impossible

Want - 60
Krypto is a fun character. I have fond memories of the 2000's cartoon, and I just think Superman having a dog who also happens to have the same superpowers that he does is very funny in that old comic book superhero way. I could picture him having a very funny moveset what with him flying around, biting and using his laser eyes. I'd be cool with it.

Ted Turner colourises the competition!
Chance: 0.02%
Yep, it's a real guy. He's not really impossible per say, he hasn't got many meaningful controversies to his name, but it's just a ridiculous concept and it's basically impossible to make a moveset for him because literally the entire moveset potential is based in the decades-old colourising joke absolutely nobody would get. It's pretty clear MVS' devs don't care that much about WB history, especially on the corporate side, so I doubt there's much interest in any BTS stuff beyond that represented within the source material themselves (Animaniacs, e.t.c.)

Want: 0.01%
Let me be frank here, I only nominated this because I wanted to make fun of how Smash fans used to want Reggie/Iwata in the game. It would be funny for 3 seconds, so there's that, but yeah, worshipping corporate figures in the same breath as cartoons and superheroes - even ironically - is dumb dumb.

Krypto The Super Dog

Chance: 33%

Krypto is the Superman's dog, that he makes part from Superman's mythos, and that was crazy that the own Superman have a pet,DC on Gold era from comic books was weird,Krypto got a cartoon on 2000s and he is one of the main characters from League of The Super Pets, for his moveset, that's easy that he is quadrupeal fighter but with supes attacks, that not sounds a clone cause that Krypto can have different moves on his moveset, and he is a great choice.

Want: 100%

(breathes) oh man,Krypto gives to me a nostalgia of watching his cartoon, that is a very good cartoon, and as i said,he could have a good moveset

Ted Turner
1%: Ted Turner is a well known american television man who founded various tv networks including CNN, TBS, and created Turner Enterprises(I believe), he has history most known for merging with time warner which is the main parent company for warner brothers.

i think a playable character role would not be bad but i don't think it's necessary to do, at best i think he's better off having a reference somewhere in the game whether it be on a description for a banner or have a painting of him with the time warner company as a banner for some fancy options for players to pick.

0%: I heard of him but i barely know him.

"It's Superdog Time"
Spins around and transforms
"Ruff-Ruff and Away!"-Krypto

Alternate Opening
"Krypto the SuperDog in...Multi-Chance Time!
Written and Edited by Ivan R. Lerma, Directed by Scott Gerald(Not Really)"

Krypto the SuperDog
Theme Song: Krypto the SuperDog
55%:
Krypto the SuperDog
Krypto, Krypto the SuperDog
Krypto (it's SuperDog time!)
Who's krypto? He’s a SuperDog, he’s a superhero, he came from earth to outer space, and his name is krypto.
(He’s super smart, in every way)

Okay, ok, ok! Theme song aside, Krypto is obviously a Superman Character from the DC Universe originating in the comics since 1955. He’s the pet dog of Superman and was one of the other kryptonians that survived the destruction of the planet(but from what i read he wasn’t even there during the event), despite how many times DC tried to kill him or retcon him out though he’s still manage to continue being in people’s minds and is a long staying character for Superman’s allies.

He’s appeared in various cartoon shows such as Batman: The Brave & The Bold, A Cameo in Superman: The Animated Series, was in TTG because why not, and he had his own animated show for Kids WB which is fondly remembered & is inspired by hanna-barbera’s original art with the designs.

Plus, the theme song is catchy.

He’s also in animated movies too plus his theatrical film “DC’s League of Super-Pets” were he’s in a league of super pets trying to save their owners from Lex Luthor(and his guinea pig, Lulu) played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and while he didn’t get a spot in Injustice he did appear in other dc video games as a playable character(The Lego Games and Infinite Crisis) or manage to have an appearance(DC Online Universe).

I feel like he would’ve had a higher chance of getting in to promote DC’s League of Super-Pets around 2022 though unfortunately that time has passed and even then PFG weren’t thinking of using Krypto, so now it’s just whether or not they would want to put him in or not, he could get a chance with the upcoming superman movie as he is slated to appear though it’ll take a couple of rivalries from others to go through(Kara and Lex), while unlikely there’s still an open door for him.

Alternate Theme Song: Eye of the Tiger/Scooby-Doo! and Krypto Too!
49.9%: Despite not having seen it for so long, I do have a fond memory of Krypto the SuperDog from his cartoon show, back then I did like krypto for his design thinking it was good and cool. I also saw him in a DC comic my brother got and was sad to see him die and even finding out that he was killed off there ().

Krypto wouldn’t be bad and realistically he would play a little differently from Clark & even Scooby-Doo! Although I feel like he’d over bloat the roster with how many superman characters get in the game and while it’d be nice to see him in the game i feel he’d not be top priority with Lex Luthor, Supergirl, and even Lois Lane getting in before him, it’d be a little too late to add him in by then if it goes that way.

Again, he’d be nice and I'd like to see his cartoon incarnation as either the main version or a costume variant but he’s not really on my top list of wanted characters, sadly.

My Nominations
-Salem’s Lot
-Tanjiro

Edit at 10/17/24 at 8:37 PM: I added my ratings on Ted Turner even though i didn't had much time and tried to express what i would feel about him in the game, i also upgrated krypto's chance score after seeing the teaser he's in for the superman movie.

Ted Turner

Chance: 0.01%

I guess this is possible? But it's the type of choice that manages to be out of left field and too ridiculous for even a game as wacky and all over the place as MultiVersus. I can't really fathom the team wanting to go for this, nor would Ted Turner probably be chill with being included in the game. Maybe I'm wrong, but I simply see this as unrealistic.

Want: 0%

Look I have nothing against adding real people to this game. But if you are gonna do it, at least pick someone interesting like Jackie Chan or someone comedic. Just anybody other than a businessman who would struggle to have a relevant and coherent moveset.

Nostalgia Dog

Chance: 50%

I can definitely see this. Krypto is a pretty popular character who had his own show, is the star of a movie a couple years back, and is generally a recurring character in the DC franchise. I can also see the team wanting to add some more variety with more quadrupedal characters and Krypto is probably a frontrunner in that regard. Plus, he is confirmed to be in the new Superman film so

Want: 75%

With DC characters I'm mostly apathetic towards their inclusion at this point. But Krypto is one of those characters that would actively trigger some level of excitement in me. I'm one of those people that has some nostalgia from the cartoon and it would be so cool to have more dog characters (and animals in general) added to the roster.

Beast Boy's Old Team
Chance: 50%
Want: 50%

Doom Patrol is a DC Comics franchise, and yet it hasn't reached past the comics much besides a live-action series. But really, the main claim to fame this team has is being the original home of Garfield "Beast Boy" Logan. With that said, at least it's not a Batman character getting in this time, which I would be okay with. And with the spreading rumor that Raven could be one of our next characters, a second Teen Titan getting in wouldn't be out of the realm of impossibility.

As for who could get in, my money's on Negative Man being the character to pick. Elasti-Girl sounds too much like the Incredibles mother of the same identity, Danny the Street would wear thin after getting revealed, and not many others are as well-known as the rest of the DC pantheon.

Mr. Frog is a breakout star on Adult Swim's newest cash cow, Smiling Friends. In fact, he became a recurring character in the second season. However, he may be overshadowed by Gwimbly, the next breakout star they invented. I'd still consider him a possibility, and one I'd be in favor of including down the line.

C'mon. This is a real person, and a real person who has little moveset potential or crossover appeal with the audience for this game. Sure. He's very important to the history of WB, but If someone is under the age of like, 40 and isn't from America then it's unlikely they even really know who Ted Turner is. What would he even do for a moveset? This isn't happening, we'd probably get David Zaslav (shudder) before this.

Want - 0%
I'm all for funny haha weird picks but I have no idea who this would even be for. Don't like real people in games, LeBron is already something I'm iffy on, adding actual CEOs would be a step way too far. (Yes, I think adding Reggie or Sakurai or wherever to Smash would be lame too)

Not the X-Men
Chance - 36%
Doom Patrol are a really interesting team when it comes to their place in the wider DCU. First created in the 60s, Professor Nyles Calder brings together a team of people who have been rejected by society to battle evil. The Doom Patrol actually predate the X-Men, which has led to some comparisons over the years. The original Doom Patrol series is is unique in that is actually ended with the team being killed off, which remanded the status quo for several years afterwards.

The Doom Patrol had several line ups over the years, though the original team of Robotman Elasti-Girl and Negative Man seems the most common and recurring, with others floating and and out. The character of Beast Boy was originally introduced as part of the Doom Patrol, before spinning out into the titans.

There would be a few more runs, but by far the most notable is the run by Grant Morrison. This is by far the most influential and acclaimed, introducing characters and elements that would alter care over into the TV show, such as Danny the Street and Crazy Jane, aswell as the twist that Professed Calder deliberately engineered the accidents that created the members to the team.. This run would really set the tone and style of later adaptations of the team. There was an also pretty popular take on the team by My Chemical Romance 's Gerard Way a few years back.

The Doom Patrol have had a couple of appearances in non comics media, such as the Teen Titans cartoon, but never anything major. That is until they got their own show. Originally designed as a spin off of the live action Titans show before developing into its own canon, the series draws from both the original 60s team and the Morrison run, though replaces Beast Boy's role with Cyborg, due to studio politics going on at DC at the time. The series ran for 4 seasons, and seemed to be pretty well liked.

As far as their chances for this game? As a character? I don't see it. There's still a bunch of popular DC characters who's aren't in yet, and unless a new Doom Patrol movie is announced then there's not really anything to tie into, with the show having wrapped up. I could maybe see a Danny the Street stage getting in at some point. If a character did get in then I feel like Robotman or Negative Man are probably who I'd see getting in, due to general importance or overall moveset potential. There is one character who I think has an actually pretty decent shot, that being Beast Boy, who we'll probably rate on his own at some point, but if he got in it wouldn't be as a Doom Patrol character.

I unfortunately think this side of DC is just too neice to get any real representation any time soon.

Want - 45%
I haven't really read many Doom Patrol comics, though I am a fan of Grant Morrison 's work so I do want to check out their run. I did really liked what I watched of the show. It was fun. There's definitely some fun characters who would be really interesting to see here, and if this was Injustice or a DC focused fighter I would probably rate them way higher, but I don't really want the game to e filled with DC characters, and these guys just don't seem high enough. Not getting into Beast Boy here since I very much see him as his own thing.

A Danny the Street stage would be really fun though.

He eats the bug
Chance - 40%
A Smiling Friends character seems pretty likey considering the growing popularity of the series in recent years, and with how hard AS have been pushing it. Smiling Friends rep of some form feels like a when rather than an if at this point. There are a few options, and Mr. Frog is definitely one of them, being more than a one time appearance. He seems to be one of the more popular side characters.

I think the big issue he runs into is that he's simply just inherently hard to make work in something like this. Mr. Frog is a fully 2D character who doesn't really animate all that much. He also only really does like 2 or 3 things in the show. You could definitely make somethig work for him but I almost wonder if it would feel untrue to the character.

I really do think if we get a Smiling Friends character it's gonna be Pim and \ or Charlie.

Want - 30%
He'd be funny. His episodes are some of the best. I talked about how I don't see him having much moveset potential, but honestly I think it'd be funny to lean into him just being a full on chaos monster and causing havoc all around the stage. Don't have much to say about Smiling Friends that hasn't been said the previous times we've rated it, but yeah he'd be funny.

Doom Patrol
Abstain: I haven't seen the doom patrol show, i have seen them in Teen Titans though. If i were to imagine someone from Doom Patrol showing up in Multiversus it would be Beast Boy since he was once part of the team.

Just checking to see if this works.
Note: It Works

Theme Song: Smiling Friends
79%: Mr. Frog is one of the most well known and popular characters on Smiling Friends, he's a TV star of his own show were the first episode begins with him eating a bug making him very famous until he got into some controversy which lead to his popularity to go downhill, despite all that and having to deal with a terrible network agent trying to replace him from his own show Mr. Frog gained back his popularity and turned into one of the world's most powerful stars of all time, even becoming president of the united states (no thanks to this guy).

I feel like Mr. Frog would be a character that'd absolutely be possible as a potential fighter considering his status to the show's legacy and fandom he'd be a character people would like to see, although outside of Gwimbly being the new face of popularity there is one problem to factor that being Mr. Frog's movements, he is a very fast character who is seen speeding with his long simply drawn frog feet that you can pretty much see him coming quickly to you from a distance, this may wound up making some people a little upset as they'd want to see him be properly portrayed and that would sadly be an issue for some of the fandom aswell as a nightmare for the devs to implement.

The other best options for Mr. Frog wouldn't only just be a fighter, he can also be an assist character though i think those are gone now thanks to Banana Guard being a fighter, Neptr nowhere to be seen, and Meeseeks while still apart of Rick's attacks being regulated to the golf minigames(he's also rumored to be a fighter thanks to datamines but it's likely there to trick people on future fighters) although it's not impossible to say he would get a role similar to that, that's just my idea.

He could also get something such as banners, profile pics, and maybe costume variants for other characters too. Since Mr. Frog is a beloved character it would be nice to add some merch of him in game for players to get to show their love for the character. it would likely be a great choice for the game to make more money if people went and buy mr. frog stuff for their accounts to decorate or have some characters wear a t-shirt or mr. frog outfit to pour more of their fondness for the smiling friends tv star.

Overall, Mr. Frog is a character who's chances are pretty high though even if he ends up as a fighter or not there are still other things to explore for him in the game that will make players & fans happy regardless.

Alternate Theme: This is the end, I Love You
69%: I like Mr. Frog when he eats the fly or maybe in general, what makes it hard for him is his murderous tendencies or how he's already portrayed as worse than rex in the 2nd episode of season 2, though i don't hate him overall and think he's great.

I'd be fine with Mr. Frog getting in the game in some form though as a playable character? it may be hard for him due to how people may want him portrayed in the game, if the devs find a way to make him into a fighter while retaining his character traits then it'd be surprised.

Day over.

Rate Concept: Watchmen rep, as well as Concept: What a Cartoon! content.

As per Ivanlerna's wishes (as they are the one who nommed this concept), Concept: What a Cartoon! content will only be rated based on the pilot shorts that didn't get their own full show, as Ivanlerna stated below in the past:

i'm talking about The Show & Their Pilots in General excluding shows that were on the show before, No Johnny Bravo, Courage, OR Powerpuff Girls.

Just Pilots like Strange Things, Gramps, O'Possum, Mina & The Count, Etc.
Hopefully that's clear enough. I know this is a very specific concept so don't be afraid to tag me if anyone has any questions.

Who Watches the Watchmen?
Chance: 50%
Watchmen is a DC Comics story loosely based around the Charlton Comics line, and was written by Alan Moore. The team consists of characters such as Rorshach, Nite Owl, and Dr. Manhattan. It has since grown to become a popular entity on its own merits, and has spawned a film and a TV series in recent years. Whether or not James Gunn would include them in his plans is anyone's guess, even his.

As for getting a Watchmen rep in MultiVersus, there's certainly good potential with the three characters I just named, but they could throw a curveball with Twilight Lady or Dollar Bill. But what sets these guys back is the general "DC Comics fatigue" that MultiVersus is starting to have. Namely a Batman fatigue, to be precise. Sure, this is a separate universe from Gotham City, but when your comic is on the same legacy level as The Dark Knight Returns, clearly there is some overlap with the Caped Crusader.

Want: 50%
Honestly, it can go either way for me. I know these characters exist, and just seeing them in crossover media would interest me for a little while. It's just that I'm neutral to comics in general, and it takes a lot for me to want or refuse that industry. Or rather, getting them in an animated project.

But speaking of franchise fatigue...

The Reject Bin
Chance: 5%
What A Cartoon! is the first in a series of Cartoon Network series incubators, followed by CCF Big Pick, The Cartoonstitute, and the Cartoon Network Shorts Department. It also sparked a new era for Hanna-Barbera Productions, which would become their final era before merging into the greater Warner Bros. Animation conglomerate.

Now, the characters that got their own shows are off the table. Heck, the Powerpuff Girls are already in the game, with Dexter and Johnny Bravo not far behind in theory. But the ones that stayed as pilots are who we're discussing. To save space, I'll only cover those who had two shorts minimum.
  1. Yuckie Duck
  2. Sledgehammer O'Possum
  3. Pfish and Chip
  4. Vlad the Count (Mina and the Count)
  5. Larry and Steve
  6. Malcom and Melvin
Among these, Vlad would be better suited for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and there's no way they're going to Disney for Peter and Brian Griffin. Plus, there's also the fact that Ralph Bakshi disowned Malcom and Melvin after creating these two, meaning it's a legal problem there as well. That only leaves Yuckie Duck, Sledgehammer O'Possum, or Pfish and Chip.

Yeah, I think these guys are better suited to announcer packs that only one person would actually use. In other words, I'm not holding my breath for any of the dropped pilots getting in.

Want: 49%
Even despite that, I do want to see representation from What A Cartoon! in MultiVersus. It would just be an uphill climb to the peak of Mount Everest to actually get them in the game.

However, I'm dropping a point below 50 percent because it would contribute to Cartoon Network fatigue, to the point where Banana Guard might have some competition for "most useless character". A shame too, because you can do a good amount with the works of Patrick A. Ventura.

Count would still work for Multiversus, though he's had more history on Oh Yeah Cartoons for Nick so i already see why he'd be more fitting in NASB instead, you could separate Larry & Steve from Peter & Brian so you wouldn't ask much about Family Guy unless Disney still acts like an *** about it, and i didn't hear about what happen to Malcolm & Melvin, Ouch.

Watchman
Abstaining for Now: I’m kind of familiar with Watchman, I am aware of characters such as Rorschach & Manhattan, I haven't seen the movie besides some scenes and the meme itself.

I plan to watch the animated adaptation soon but if I wound up seeing it before the day ends then I may change my review.

I'll update this for my rankings on What a Cartoon! later, mostly because i'm working on a special intro for opening.

Update on 11/3/24 at 7:59 PM: Ratings and Nominations are up

What A Cartoon!
Theme Song: Cartoon Cartoons
20%: Back in 1995, Cartoon Network launched a show that aired a series of pilots, quick short episodes featuring different cartoon characters all with the attention of making a new generation of toons and starting the era of cartoon network’s original series’ this is the show that aired the pilots for Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, and Cow & Chicken.

And then there’s the others that didn’t get in including some cartoons that got more than one short but not a full series including:
  • Yuckie Duck
  • Dino
  • Sledgehammer O’ Possum
  • George and Junior
  • Pfish and Chip
  • Mina and The Count(Not on What a Cartoon! But they got more episodes on Random Cartoons! From Nickelodeon)
  • Malcolm and Melvin
In terms of all the characters chances in Multiversus, they aren’t the most requested from the CN side and sadly some of them may not be as likely to happen for various reasons(atleast with Malcolm & Melvin, apparently), most likely licensing/rights may be an issue other than that their not high on the list many people want for the game, which is unfortunate.

Although we can at least give credit to The Powerpuff Girls for being a somewhat small representation for What a Cartoon, it did start its footing there we can also credit Dexter(and hopefully johnny bravo) for some more added content for the show if we treat it like that.

But still it would be nice to have some non greenlit cartoon characters in the game, at best the background to the title or the logo itself for banners & icons would be great enough to rep the whole show itself, the announcer packs are great ideas too.

Alternate Theme: What A Cartoon! (Rock & Roll Theme)
60%: I haven’t seen what a cartoon besides a couple of pilots back in my younger years such as Mina & The Count on a Scooby-Doo! VHS Tape with a Yogi Bear episode, The Dino Pilot & Buy One, Get One Free on Boomerang, and Larry & Steve(The pilot that brought to life Family Guy) on youtube, besides a few shorts i’ve learned on a horror list plus some crossover nexus stuff up to now did i manage to watch almost every cartoon short of What a Cartoon! On Checkered Past which had some pretty cool cartoons that i wish had their own series’

The ones in particular that grabbed my interest were Strange Things, which follows a robot who gets a job but leaves a terrible mess of things & this was the only cartoon pilot that was animated in 3-D, and then there’s Gramps which has a grandpa telling his two grandchildren about the story about how he faced aliens while they try to correct him(i don’t remember how it goes if anyone can correct me here then i’ll appreciate it), I also love the pilot for Courage the Cowardly Dog which is the last one they aired before switching to Cartoon Planet.

In terms of who i want, it’d love to have the robot from Strange Things as a fighter, i know he’s not really a fighter but his attacks could revolve around causing chaos around him wherever he goes or even tries to touch making it a wild fighter to have, the robot would just be a character who doesn’t fight but everything he does cause others to get hurt.

Although if there were to be other characters that can work as true fighters, i can imagine Mina & The Count, Pchips & Fish, Podunk Possum, and Yuckie Duck working well too.

Watchmen Rep

Chance: 64%

Watchmen is one of the biggest histories of DC and that made part from Modern Era of the comic books, and i think that could be insteresting of see one of the Watchmen members on the game, mainly have Dr. Mahattan or Rosharch on the roster, while Nite Owl could be works as an alternate costume for Batman....i think, and it's good of have DC characters that don't made part from the Earth Prime, also Watchmen have a movie made by Zack Snyder.

Want: 30%

i really heard about watchmen, but i'm not a really fan of the series, and it could be instesresting of have one of the characters on the MultiVersus.

A Watchmen character

Chance: 30%
Honestly I think this has a pretty good shot of happening, if only due to what seem to be hints in certain behind the scenes pictures and the series having a tag in the files. It's absolutely a big enough name to get the nod as well.

Want: 0%
I really like The Watchmen, which is why I don't want it to get anywhere near getting a playable character. It would completely go against the themes of the book. Granted, DC itself has had no issue spitting all over it in the past, but that doesn't mean I need to like it. Blatant commodification of the work by putting its characters into a multiversal crossover fighting game littered with microtransactions would leave a REALLY bad taste in my mouth.

Rosie the Robot
Chance: 50%
Rosie the Robot is the maid of The Jetsons, both the show and the family alike. She has since become a fan favorite character among fans of the show, and a running gag nowadays is that people want her to clean their houses for them. Sorry ladies, she's taken.

Do I expect Rosie to make it in? Honestly, she has some competition among the Hanna-Barbera set, but she may arguably outclass her own family in terms of likelihood. In short, I don't expect her to make it, but I do expect her to make it before the actual Jetsons, even George.

Want: 75%
Yes, I want Rosie the Robot in MultiVersus. I already mentioned I'm a sucker for zany characters, but when you add the moveset potential of a robotic maid on wheels, that passion is amplified. Plus, someone has to fill ROB's niche in Smash. She did appear in the 1985 revival, after all.

Gabriel
Chance: 20%
It's a hard sell for horror villains to get in the same game as Steven Universe or Scooby-Doo. Even considering Jason Voorhees, there's more competition in this niche than in Rosie's. However, if we're talking Mortal Kombat speculation, then I'd root for him in that series.

Want: 45%
I just watched Malignant last month for the Halloween season, and I will say it was a gruesome film. I just don't think there's as much you can do with Gabriel that other monsters would bring to the table, like Sadako or Regan.

Sorry. Wanted to rate Watchmen but I was tired, lack of interest in this game as of late and being worn down by real world events has left me lacking motivation. But I helped nominate one of these characters I felt I should chip in

Kinda hard to discuss this one without spoilers unfortunately.
Chance - 11%
Malignant is a 2021 horror film directed by James Wan, creator of the Conjuring films and director of the Aquaman movie. The film focuses on a series of murders being committed by a sinister killer known as Gabriel, who possess superhuman strength, agility and control over electricty.

Protagonist Madison finds herself strangely connected to these events, especially when she finds herself having visions of Gabriel's kills, with her being arrested for them. This all leads to a shocking reveal that Gabriel is Madison 's parasitic twin, growing out of her back, who was semi removed when she was a child, but they could not remove his brain so he was sealed inside her head, a recent traumatic event haivng reawoken him and is now seeking revenge on those who wronged him, controlling Madison's body when she is asleep, in a backwards, twisted way. . The film ends with his defeat, being sealed away, but does in its final moments end with a sequel hook that implies he's still in there.

The film did well at the box office, even better on steaming, and reviewed well. However no sequel has been announced and doesn't seem to be in the plans currently. I think WB and PFG are going to want to focus on characters from franchises that are on going or have a a big future, and a seemingly one and done horror film from a few years ago doesn't really fit that.

I think the biggest issue is the fact that Gabriel is inherently tied to Abigail. He uses her body, and controls her kind of like a puppet, pulling her around. This just feels like it would be very hard to make work in a game like this. . His face is also really nasty, and might honestly cross over the age rating they're aiming for. He has some amazing fight scenes in the movie, and you could certainly make a moveset for him, but I think other more iconic slasher characters probably do the same things a little better.

I just don't think the timing is right, nor is there enough crossover market for this.

Want - 35%
Malignant is a fun movie. Went into it not expecting much and I was surprised by how wild it gets. Not the scariest movie imo but a really effective gore fest with a great twist. Gabriel is a great villain with a really unique and interesting premise. His design is simple but cool. I do think there's probably better horror options, but I do think there's some cool stuff you could do with him. He's a surprisingly versatile fighter.

Noms to Red Guy (Cow and Chicken)

Rosie the Robot (The Jetsons)

Chance
: 10%
The Jetsons is essentially The Flintstonesnote but in the future, telling the story of a family living in a futuristic ultra-high-rise apartment complex. For that reason, I don't think it's likely to see a fighter from this show before a Flintstones character, which I already don't give a high chance of. Jetsons also lack modern relevancy while also not being quite as classic as some other HB properties - though it's still up there. Rosie getting in over the titular Jetsons themselves, though, feels more plausible to me. Not only would her large variety of tools and ability to stretch her limbs lend themselves into a moveset very easily, but she is also one of the reasons why robot maids are such a popular trope today.

Want: 95%

I made no attempts to hide that Rosie is one of my most wanted characters in Multiversus. She's such a fun and likable character with a great attitude. I'd be amazing to see her interact with the likes of Iron Giant and a fighter who literally cleans the floor with her opponents using cleaning tools would be a concept still not quite used in platform fighters. While The Jetsons is not my favorite HB cartoon, Rosie is definitely among the best characters they produced imo.

Day over.

Rate Prohyas and Vambre from Mighty Magiswords, as well as Kazuma and Co. from Konosuba.

For the former, we are rating them based on the likelihood of both of them getting in, whether as a duo character or as separate fighters.

For the latter, I decided that we are rating it based on if Kazuma and at least one of his pals makes it into the game. Also. Konosuba is allowed, only because the anime was available on Max at once point.

Team Rocket's Better Halves
Chance: 10%
Prohyas and Vambre Warrior are a brother-sister duo of for-hire adventurers, where the main gimmick of the show is showing off as many unique-looking swords as the artists could think of.

Now, Mighty Magiswords was actually pretty successful, as far as Cartoon Network shows that started out as internet shorts go, and you can't say their designs don't stick out. However, they do present some significant competition from other CN shows, even from the era of the late 2010s. I've seen a lot more people ask for OK KO or Infinity Train than I did the Warrior siblings.

Unfortunately, that's not the worst part about bringing them up today.

On June 20th, 2024, Kyle A. Carrozza was arrested for two charges of child pornography. This has led to multiple people disassociating with him and his work, including Luke Ski. To bring up Prohyas and Vambre now would be under the same camp as Harry Potter or, to a lesser extent, Rurouni Kenshin.

Want: 40%
If it wasn't for Kyle's arrest, and especially the charges, I would've liked to see them more. They have quaint designs, and you could make either one of them MultiVersus's equivalent to Hero. But yeah, that stain will likely never wash out, and the implications that the Ghoul School and Craig of the Creek are connected to that harsh reality are really tough to swallow.

The Worst Party in the RPG World
Chance: 5%
Konosuba is a popular anime and manga franchise about a boy named Kazuya Satou, a shut-in who was transported to a fantasy world after getting run over by a tractor. (Yes, really.) Along the way, he teams up with three party members who become big names in their own right: Aqua, the goddess of water, Megumin, a teenage archwizard, and Darkness, a crusader with a taste for masochism.

I'm only giving these four a non-zero chance because of their popularity in the Isekai market. Konosuba has become a cultural touchstone within a rapidly-growing genre of anime, and has since become one of the few to last more than a single cour/season of episodes. However, with 2+ characters to include in this instance, it can be hard to choose which of Kazuma's pals enters the fray alongside him. I know for sure that Darkness would only get added to complete the quartet. Heck, if it was up to the casual audience, the two reps would be Aqua and Megumin, casting our hero to the side like Rex in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Huh, that's two Smash allegories I made in the same day. That was not intentional.

Want: 10%
Honestly, I'd be slightly against Konosuba representation in MultiVersus. The ties with WB are flimsy at best, and if the deal with Sony and Kadokawa goes through, that means all four of them have to deal with a lot more Sony characters for a third-party slot. Heck, Sony distributes Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, My Hero Academia, Astro Boy, Spy X Family, Bleach, Demon Slayer, Fullmetal Alchemist, and countless others. Heck, it would be easier to justify the Sony Pictures Animation properties because Genndy Tartakovsky and David Feiss worked for them. I could even see the Ghostbusters coming in before the cast of Konosuba, for crying out loud.

In short, not only do I not see Konosuba making the cut, I also hope Sony doesn't add another notch to their anime belt.

Noms to Thundarr.
