I'm open to all suggestions for modifications to the team. At the moment, it is complete, but re-training is always an option ;) So on to the team.

Name: Ninjask
Hold Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Speed boost
Nature:Timid
Ev's: 252 Speed/252 HP/4 Special Defense
Moveset: Substitute, Protect, Swords Dance, Baton Pass

Name: Gorebyss
Hold Item: Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ev's: 252 HP/128 Special Defense/ 128 Defense
Moveset: Barrier, Amnesia, Aqua Ring, Baton Pass

Name: Mr. Mime
Ability: Filter
Hold Item: Focus Band
Nature: Calm
Ev's: 252 Defense/ 128 HP/ 128 Special Defense
Moveset: Calm mind, Hypnosis, Barrier, Baton Pass

Name:Gliscor
Hold Item: To be decided.
Nature: Impish
Ev's: 252 HP/ 128 Defense/ 128 Special Defense
Moveset: Baton pass, Swords dance, Earthquake, Aerial Ace

Name: Absol
Hold Item: To be decided.
Nature:Adamant
Ev's: 252 Attack/252 HP/4 Speed
Moveset: Baton Pass, Swords Dance, Night Slash, Return

Name: Togekiss
Hold Item: Kings rock
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Modest
Ev's: 128 HP/252 Special Defense/128 Defense
Moveset: Thunder Wave, Roost, Air slash, Baton Pass

So that's it. Essentially you max speed with ninjask from it's speed boosts, thouroughly cover your defenses with Gorebyss and Mr. Mime, and then you finish them with your uber flincher (togekiss) or your ridiculous attackers, which basically can't die at that point if everything goes well. Obvious weaknesses are moves like whirlwind, roar, haze, and heart swap. Lemme know what you guys think ^^ Thanks in advance.

:yoshi: Chains like these are awful tough to pull off and Taunt kinda ruins your day.

Also, once the opponent figures out what's going on (usually after the second pass), you open yourself up to status and Focus Punches and all that nasty stuff. Not discouraging it, because the strat obviously has its merits, but it's too easy to break.

I <3 Absol, though, so thumbs up on that. ^_^

A taunting gyarados lead would pose problems for your team. Actually, anything with taunt would make things difficult. I would have at least one pokemon that doesn't rely on bp.

..I was just wondering why your Ninjask has Swords Dance with no attacking moves?
Or is there something I need to know about Swords Dance?

I love the idea of the whole team being able to support eachother through stat boosts and baton passing. However, should your opponent figure things out, as stated, you can easily get your strategy taken apart. I would say to have more offensive moves within your team. Should your Togekiss, Gliscor, and Absol get taken out, your a sitting duck.

There is also a number of threats against your team along with taunt. Any physical sweeper with psyche up, for example, can ruin your day with moves like reversal, ice punch, and stone edge.

Well, if you didn't already know it, it is a positive stat modifier. Whenever somebody doesn't break the substitute, or you predict a character switch, you can throw in a swords dance. Speed boost keeps making Ninjask faster, so then you can Baton Pass into whatever and it will be both fast and strong. (After 3 Swords Dances you will have equaled a Belly Drum).

Also, on Ninjask... I'm not entirely sure how Focus Sash works. Will it only work if his HP is full? Or, if he substitutes his life down, and then they use Extremespeed to kill you in one hit would it still save him? If you were packing Aerial Ace I would say it could help you take care of Heracross, but in any case you might want to try Leftovers instead.

Ah so what you're saying is that Baton Pass passes down the Speed Boosts and Swords dance to the next Pokemon correct.(?) If that is so, I didn't know that Baton Pass would pass down the stat increases to the next Pokemon.

Thanks for the input everyone ^^ @ Kyu, I'm debating moving the focus sash from Ninjask. It's there only as a second option (Protect, Dance->sash, Protect, BP) if your really in need of the dance *shrug* I use standard item clauses, so leftovers isn't an option :( It's much more fitting for Gore ^^ And yes, taunt is a huge problem. Kiss can handle himself, but that's about it :( I'm not going to worry about it too much though. This team is more for fun anyways ^.^ But if anyone has a solution to my taunting problems, please let me know :D

Small question. Can you protect moves like taunt, haze, and whirlwind? Does a substitute fend off any of the three also?? Thanks in advance :p

Any ideas for my empty hold items?

Maybe you can plug in a Nasty Plot in there somewhere to help out your togekiss. Maybe replace one of the Barriers with it.

Also, I would have at least one attacking move on all of your pokemon. You don't want to lose the match to a 1hp poke simply because your remaining guys can't attack.

Aryman, the only BP-er that can learn nastyplot (besides Kiss) is Ampibom. Who wants that in there team *laughs* Good idea though. Yeah, I may be upping the ammount of attacks very soon. Possibly X scissor on Ninjask for SD. Maybe Surf on Gore for Aqua ^^ Not sure yet.

Yep, you don't have ingrain. These moves threaten your team:
Roar
Whirlwind
Taunt

Sice T-tar is such a common Poke nowdays, Sash seems useless for Jask. Run lefties. Byss and Mime are fine, and your attacking pokes too. Nice team, just don't get taunted/roared lol

Here's the thing, Ice Shard and Bullet Punch own Ninjask.

Mostly, Weavile, Metagross, Any poke with Whirlwind or Roar, Gengar and Lopunny can all take this team down. With no hold backs, 0 damage done , Psyhc Up, Punishment and Taunt pwn this team fully too. You only need ONE baton passer.

Drop focus sash for band. And then make ninjask know only effect moves. then taunt will not work on him... besure to give him protect.

Well, there's no fourth move, so put Haze in there. Why Haze? There's Haze because it'll remove Hazers from doing what they do.
