You have a really good Sonic IMO, but your up-b will become pretty predictable after a while, especially if you cancel the landing lag. And your Sonic reminds me of mine, on the offensive most of the time. I rate your Sonic 8/10 as far as handling a lv 9 cpu. Keep up the good work.

Ya, the problem is you can't really test predictability against lvl9 computers (they don't think like humans) which is why I'm sticking to online with friends to practice. But otherwise, I play about the same as you

Exactly. I would play online but the button delay still messses me up alot. I have another video here of me beating lvl 9 Ike and lvl 9 Marth on a team =]/

I can't tell if you're ******** or I am. There were definitely some moments of quickness/genius there. Short hopping, and the way you finished Pit off in the air definitely smelled advanced to me. But the shear frequency and predictability at which you used the Up B to down air was pretty horrendous. Had it not been for that rhythm, I would have said yeah 8/9 out of 10. But with it... Maybe 6/7 out of 10.

Spin dash to homing, I've never even seen before. Looks like a nice juke.

Now that I think about it, is there really a standard for a "good" Sonic yet?...Maybe I just haven't seen enough videos or something, but I can't really think of a real scale to go by till we see more...thats just my 2 cents

up-b can be out prioritized by alot of other characters...characters with range such as...Marth, MK, Ike, ud get ownd by lucas up-smash..Fox...falco

it seems your trying to play too much rush down than actual mind-games which sonic seems to be best at ( you can do a little both but try to stick to mind-games )

I know you cant play Mind games with the cpu at lvl9, and its stupid to play mind games with characters at lower levels.

try and practice combos on the lvl 9 computer, such as shorthop F-air (get that to auto-cancel) and then shorthop F-air again, if you get the timing right for the autocancel it should connect, then follow up with a reverse ariel or try n spring spike him if they got nocked off the stage.

Man, I know about the the autocancel for the fair and I DO try to knock off my oppnent then using a B to knock him off.

In that video I used exactly what you just adviced me to use. Although I don't knock the CPU back with B, because I wanted to keep him alive.

That advice was directed at a human player. Its obvuious a cpu cant think for itself. I assumed he'd use the same stradegy, but I was wrong.

As for "good" Sonic players, look up LuCKy's videos. He has arguably the best Sonic today.

You spam the Up-B to D-Air the same way I do. I think you use the F-Air a little more often than I do...I've been trying to incorporate that more. Looks pretty good to me.

pretty good tech, that side b to homing is pretty spiffy i'll have to start using that :D, love the spring spike on the fox vid. Overall i'd say 8/10 still need some polishing on your edge guard game and less up B to d-air

Not thirded, I have been doing that since the first day the game's been out and I'm sure many others have too. I'm not going to say you're terrible because it seems as if you have a basic idea of how to control sonic (and you definitely know how to upB to Dair >_>.) But I would never say you're 'good' seeing as you were extremely predictable, even excluding the upB to Dair crap. Try dash dancing and some good Nair> Dtilt > Uair combos ;D Now that's flashy.

I'm trying to have Sonic as one of my mains
its kinda hard but i've learned alot just by watching his videos.

Sorry to brake it to u but, showing against lvl9 bots is first day stuff when u are learning to play sonic, this doesnt show anythign at all. Bots cannot be compared to humans a bot knows u;re moves and reacts quicker than u. u may use combos that work awesome coolness on bots cuz they are capd off at a limit, they dont adapt, they predict through input based on their programming. Against humans. Wut u have shown is nothing but how to beat lvl 9's likes its a world first. hehz.
