Too aggressive. Against other characters you'd do poorly but since it was a ditto and you both were just all offense and running in with fairs you got lucky. Work on spacing too cause you were trying to space like melee's marth with you fsmashes and some fairs.

I agree with Roman somewhat. Although I don't think you can ever be too aggressive but you can be sloppy in your offense by sacrificing too much spacing for a potential combo. Spacing is obviously different against every enemy, but a Marth ditto requires an especially unique form or spacing. Being that I haven't done many Marth dittos in Brawl yet I'm not sure how I'd go about it. Even so, you could benefit from throwing out a fair or nair and then hang or pull back for a Marth style camp. Pretty solid combos tho. 2 for 2 on the counters was nice, I don't ever use the counter myself because I'm too afraid of the punishment a good player could do if I missed.

I liked the edge guard at the end , but you were really spamming those Fair dont forget about the new game engine maybe throw in some dancing blade hits from time to time to get the power back in your Fair when you need it. Also I got to agree about the spacing vs other characters such as my wario if you get that close to me you will get punished use the range of your sword to your favor. Nice job overall though.

When playing 1v1, I suggest more counters (Down+B). It's a lifesaver. Watch the hitboxes but so far I think it's pretty good.

It's is called fast falling. To do it you just hit down right at the peak of your jump height. The 2 Fairs is just a matter of timing, hit the first Fair while your still rising from your jump, you will have time for another if done properly.

I like to use Nair more once they have some percentage. It does more damage and has more knockback than Fair and I'm pretty sure it has a little bit more range which is helpful when he's coming at you with the same attack. Good combos with the Fair tho. One thing that might be worth trying while edgegaurding, is if you're on the ledge while they are recovering from a lower angle, try ledgehopping a Bair. It has great knockback and you still have plenty of time to recover. Nair is also a really great edgegaurding technique, because it has more knockback than Fair. Either run or jump off the edge facing them and do a Nair, then if you need to and they aren't too far away you can double jump and hit them again with a Fair before you upB back to the stage.

One thing i noticed is you used your fair quite a bit. That's fine, because i spam it too lol :p, but in brawl...moves deteriorate in strength the more you use them. To keep your tippered fair at "KO" strength around the edges of the stage box, throw in more nuetral airs. Also, use your dancing blade more to start some nice combos (nice for brawl).

keep playing and practicing :)

Mostly I agree with whatever these fine folk have already said. My suggestion, since I enjoy keeping my Marth in the air a lot as well, is to simply attack from different angles so you can use less fairs and more uairs and dairs and don't forget your B button. Dancing blade is much better than it used to be and shield breaker is useful if you know how to set it up. And dolphin slash isn't only for recovery, it has more throw that it used to the closer the enemy is to the start of the move. Kinda like Luigi's up b, but not quite as powerful.
