Seems to me like you need to nail the basics bro. I'll just do a list of things I noticed:

-Bad bomb usage, they hit you more than your opponents. Read some topics about how to better use bombs. For one, never do the running bomb throw, it's awful.
-Your spacing was pretty poor, work on zoning and staying in a range that will benefit your character and hurt your opponents.
-Use zair (Z in the air), it's extremely helpful
-Shield more, a lot more.
-Don't spot dodge so much
-Work on perfect shielding to get through projectiles
-Smash Less

Just start with those for now, and try to slowly improve your game.

thanks, bengalsRZ, i guess my Link is worse than i thought. Although I have to admit that I was a little offended when you seemed to assume i didn't know what a zair was. I'll try and get some more matches up that incorporate your advice and better illustrate my playstyle. again, thanks for watching the vids and giving me advice. I appreciate it.

I watched up to the end of the second match with Ganon. At the beginning you were doing great with your zairs and overall spacing and then I dunno what happened. You should be using more projectiles and more jabs and aerials. I guess you kinda caught Arkive syndrome where you're doing well and then you just start doing **** that makes me go wait....what? Why did he do that?

Good link though, much potential. Just play smarter, do less dumb stuff and read up on your character matchups.

Don't take it personally. Not everyone who comes here knows what a zair, nair, dacus, bombslide, or dacit is. Since this is the first time we've seen you, we just want to make sure you understand everything without us having to repeat ourselves.
Haven't watched your Link yet, I'll get to it in a minute and edit this post with the details.

(YOu have good grammar! Yay! I give you cookie in a couple minutes!)

EDIT 1 (after watching first movie): Wow, you've got a lot of the AT's down! You've got a good DAC, jab cancels, etc! I'm impressed! Use less smashes and laggy moves against Falco, and use the bomb zair, bombsmash, and bombslide to avoid having to go toe to toe against Falco.
Edit 2: Yeah, you've definitely got skill now and the potential to become top tier in the future. I never realized jab cancel was so useful against DK...

But in any case, just learn Link a little bit more, face even greater foes, and you'll be a tournament name in no time.

wow. thanks a lot, anonano. . i've been reading a lot of posts here, watching a lot of vids, and hopefully i'll start to become more involved in the smash community here. I know about the bomb zair's, bombsmashing, and the bombslide, but the bomb zair and the bombsmash still aren't instinctive to me, and so they don't show up much in my playstyle. and yeah, i want to make it clear that i didn't take being told what a zair was personally. i do NOT want to come off as one of those noobs who flame people trying to help them. I deeply appreciate you, legan, and bengalsRZ watching my vids and helping me out.

"There is a time and place for everything."
Not only is that quotation true, it is especially true for Link. You know a lot of the advanced techniques for Link, such as the DAC, jab cancels, and zair. It's impressive, and I can't even do these as efficiently as you, but I think you can work on applying them. I like how you put your DAC to use, so keep at it :). And although jab cancelling and zairing are important, there are times where you do them too many times in a row without a solid punch at the end. For example, in your third video (the fight with DK), you can easily follow up your jab cancels with a smash, but didn't take advantage of it. Also, in that same video, starting at 3:49, you used zair a lot, but the DK was too far away from you to be zairing. You might want to replace times like those with bombs/boomerang/arrows. When they get close for you to zair, do it, and then follow wih a DAC. That could lead to a possible combo ;). I noticed that you fast fall when you recover as well. Fast falling is good when you need speed to help you recover. Try fast falling after you do any aerial attack. It will make your Link lightning quick :). I hope this helps! ^_^

I like the weird rang at versus Ganon. Umm, you missed a lot of chances to do more damage, like you jabbed Ganon when you should have Fsmashed him. I dunno, just cut down on silly mistakes, that is the biggest battle a Link player will face.

thanks, deta and metro knight, i noticed that myself, watching my own vids. i settle for an extra jab or two when i could have dsmashed or fsmashed. and sometimes i just get caught up in jump>zair >jump>zair that i don't realize i could put that time to better use. a couple times, i try the zair to DAC combo, but i mess up and end up just grabbing instead of DAC. This is a Bad Thing with Link. I'll try to fastfall consistently as well. thanks for the advice, both of you.

Too aggressive, needs moar spam. Unless you like being aggresive Link. Too much Dair, very punishable. Too much Fsmashing, often times you get punished for charging it.
Nice use of Zair though, spacing was well done until you tried getting back on the offensive.
Too much spotdodging. Longer lasting hitboxes will punish that. Shieldgrabbing is great for punishing as well as Usmash or Up-B out of shield. In fact, just shield more in general.
More tilts. Less rolldodges. Try attacking with SH aerials instead of smashes, jabs and grabs.

Oh, and uh... in the vs Ganon match, try not to FF off stage. I did that a lot when I first started. xD

You're definitely learning, and you definitely show potential to be a great Link player. Your ATs are solid, and so is the foundations of your playstyle. Maybe one day, "Mackman" will be a greater name than "Legan". Ha ha, can't wait to see more. Just keep working on your Link, SH aerials are pretty important, and after you get that down, make the whole thing faster and tighter.

Sorry bro, didn't mean to offend. It's just that I didn't see you use it at all and your post count is kinda low. And I didn't want to have to come back and post again with an answer if you didnt know xD

thanks, guys. i've noticed that a lot of things, including spot-dodging, carry over from my ROB. i've been trying to eliminate that from my link, and i think i've made progress. I'll remember to try and SH aerial more. there's jsut so much crazy stuff link can do, smooth booting, pivot boosting, DAC, SHFF quick-draw, bombsliding (both canceled and actual, backwards, forwards, upwards), and of course the ever-elusive bomb-footstool to jab lock... i get caught up in one or two of those that i forget about all the rest. I'll just have to keep practicing until every single one is instinct, including SH aerials. Hopefully i'll get a chance to test out my link at a couple tourneys soon, get some fresh vids that aren't against the guy up.

bengalsrz, i think you probably just watched the first one, my match against falco, and i agree that it was a really bad match for me. However, I believe that i used zair quite a lot in my other vids. Still, no problem, you still gave me very helpful advice.
