Rate my friend and I

Hey guys! Recently my friend and I made two videos of us playing or best characters against each other, and we decided to put them up to see what people thought of us. We'd appreciate any criticisms or advice you can give us, we're trying to see where we fit in skillwise.

Hmm...not bad!

You might want to speed up your attacks. I see that occasionally, there are long intervals between attacks (sorta like an awkward pause lol). Instead of standing there, you can use that time to actually do something.

But not bad at all.

1st Match: Pretty good, but there are plenty of improvements. During an awkward moment, don't taunt. The Sonic could have used that time wisely and f-smashed you. Use that time to score another K.O. The Sonic definitely needs improvement though. Not enough Spin dash. lol

2nd Match:

Peach - Good use of the turnups. If you play with a gamecube controller, you might want to learn how to glide toss. That can really help. You need to use your floating ability more. When Pikachu starts spamming Thunder Jolt, float over him and d-air him. Don't use Peach Bomb too much. I know the hearts are pretty, but if you miss, you can be severely punished.

Pikachu - Ehh....you were ok. Don't spam you f-smash. Stale moves is in effect and you really need all the power Pika's f-smash is capable of. Where's the QAC? Learn it NOW! Use you aerial attacks. I also never saw a d-smash. If your opponent doesn't know how to DI, take advantage of this. It can help score a lot of damage. Almost NEVER use Skull Bash as an attack. It gives the opponent time to dodge and/or think of a way to punish you afterwards (like Toad, Counter, etc.). Don't get hit by Bob-ombs.

Yeah, glide tossing with Peach helps so much, especially into grabs. Try not to use as many smashes, and like others said, use a lot more float canceled aerials. Don't use it too often because you will become predictable, but landing a Dair almost always leads into a Nair, Uair, or both, which really racks up the damage. Peach bomber is great for messing up people who roll to much, so use it then instead of an approach

Edit: also, Peach dash attack is great, so use it!

Your marth can also use more approaching fairs as opposed to dash attacks.

hmmmm........not really good but not really bad
try to use more fairs and nairs for your marth
have the heart to jump with marth outside and edgeguard from there
don't be afraid of falling down
marth has a good recovery
there are to many breaks in your game
you have to be wilder!!!!
don't use the dash attack to often
instead of dash attack use fair or nair->fast fall

yeah and the sonic.........................is bad

Thanks for the responses so far guys. Im relieved I wasnt as bad as I thought I was, and that these improvements wont be so difficult. My friend now thinks that Sonic just isnt that good a character to main anymore. Unfortunately, it seems that the tiers back him up, so he is asking for suggestions on a new main. He tried out Sheik over the weekend, is that a good choice?
