well i just started maining falco not to long ago so i thought id post a video of me and a friend playing a match.

before you rate:
we tried to record our matches but my laptop is pretty crappy and it would freeze while recording our matches. well it happened to record 1 of our match, but we didnt play to good in this match, thought id upload it anyways to get some feed back! i already know i need to work on my lasers, i missed some short hops in this match(dont ask me how, it just happened)
i appreciate all the advice and criticism and look forward to some more videos once i get my computer to not suck:)

-----------------------------------------Edit---------------------------------------------------------

first and for most i want to thank you all for your advice, criticism, and compliments. i finally got a better computer and this one even records sound, so i dont have to put music on there. these videos do me some justice, because i think that in most of these videos that im going to post, i am playing a lot better than i did in the previous video.

things to clear up: marth isnt chaingrable if he DIs out, no matter what, me and anbu tested. i can dashlink, but lasers on the other hand, im working on it.

i am looking forward to what else you guys have to offer in me for advice and i hope you can give me alot since i will be posting a big batch of videos.

if your wondering why my matches are always vs anbu(marth) its because hes the only person ik thats good

well, enough of me talking, here are the vids

Your lasers were a tad predictable, noted by Marth ducking. Also, I would try and combo out of Dthrow if you arent gonna or can't chain grab. Personally I prefer(=p) Dthrow,Dair,Utilt. Definitely try and use bair more, also personally I would use Nair instead of Fair especially when lower to the ground. Nair has little to no lag while Fair is Falco's laggiest aerial move. Other than that, good progress for just picking him =)

I have heard about that somewhere, I think they call it pillaring I might be wrong on that though. I dont remember many people making a huge fuss about it so it must either be impossible to do or useless(which 66% isnt useless so i might go with the former XD)

pillaring is really hard to do, and i dont think its possible to do to 66%, not to mention cant really do it against marth. not sure though. after lik 40% the dthrow thros to far and they can recover faster than you can sh dAir

Can't decide if i hate the music or not.

You missed a couple opportunities to chaingrab, although it looks like it might have been a friendly.

You and that marth seem to be fairly matched up as far as skill level, it was a pretty good fight.

Also, is there a topic with instructions on how to record matches?

being a falco main myself i find so many wrong things with that video, first of all im not flaming you, im simpmly telling you what i believe you could improve on or do less etc. so:

- Dont smash so much, are u trying to smash attack for dmg or to kill? there are better ways to rack dmg such as combos or chainthrowing (which u did attempt at times). constantly doing a smash attack is predictable and not to mention leaves you open. we all like the hyphen smash (running usmash) but that shouldnt be done every 2nd attack

- Recovery, learn how to recover without the use of a button, eg. fall jump back on n nair/fair/bar/dair/illusion etc. so not only is it unpredictable but also u can punish them if you both recovering

- Need more laser.

- master the upsmash dash attack cancel, i donno what it's called

- Knowing your opponent, you constantly charge at marth in the air when he has a longer reach than you. it's all about spacing.

- Look at your opponent (95% of the time). are you looking at him or u doing stuff? eg, in basketball do you look at the ball as ur dribbling it? if you are then you need more practice. read your opponent>proactively react>punish.

- Lasers, need more and you need to master them. theres no use if both lasers are within the top range of the short jump, u need variance on the lasers. if you ever vs a metaknight i guarantee by the time u land his grabbed u already.

- Play smart. ssbb isn't a techinically heavy game unlike melee so just play smart, anticipate the air dodge, know the recovery his gona use, mind games him. etc.

Anyway it's late and ive probably missed a lot, actually i have but those pointers should... point you in the right direction. You're not bad, but u got a lot to learn

well im not sure on marth since i dont play against him much but since my brother mains Snake and we're both pretty good in ssbb i can tell you that it works on Snake but the timing has got to be very precise with all the fast falling and all that jazz

Falco's pillaring works wonders for mind games.

You're playing a very aggressive Falco. Your goal is to punish the other characters lag, which you never did because you seemed like you were just doing your own thing all game. My advice to you is,

SPACING SPACING SPACING.

For falco's chainthrow, I think it's effective against Marth until he's at 25-30%, so you could've got maybe two or three throws out of that. Oh, and way to win, by the way.
