I must say, their credibility went flying out the window with their media blowout of Banjo and Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts.

I used to care about Rare when they actually made good games. They ruined Perfect Dark and I don't have my hopes up with the new Banjo Kazooie. The new Rare games will never compete with the old school Rare games.

I was joking, it's fine. I know what you meant.

But honestly, RARE hasn't been doing so good lately. Not to say that I dislike their characters, it's just that they haven't been so hot.

Nintendo doesn't seem to care much about DK and the crew, and will probably never develop a new DK Adventure game. If only our friends across shores knew how to make games like RARE did, we would be fine without RARE themselves. However, RARE is still developing games for Nintendo consoles - just smaller games and not blockbusters like Banjo-Kazooie and the Donkey Kong Country series. Who knows, maybe they'll come back and make a new DK game.

I love Rare! Well used to. Killer Instinct and the DKC series has got to be the best four games ever created besides smash.

But right now I haven't really followed anything they create.

Spinal FTW! Or... cinder! Maybe fulgore?

The only game I really cared about was Perfect Dark.

Key word being 'was.' Making the main character suddenly American instead of British? It went downhill from there.

Aren't you Australian, Mic_128? I nearly cried when I heard about Banjo Kazooie being ported to the 360.
Mind you, they weren't tears of joy :(

Of course I do! Banjo-Kazooie ROCKS!
Yeah, I know!....
They mentioned a Banjo threeie would come out in the second game.... but I never heard anything of it for at least 4-6 years!
Until now.
Too bad its coming out for X Box 360, and not the Wii or gamecube....
But I don't expect it to be any good.

The Banjo Tooie Multiplayer games were the best!

I used to be a RARE fan when I played Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie on my N64 but after seeing grabbed by the goulies and perfect dark zero...I don't like them anymore.

I care about them just because even though they have sucked it up recently, they still have made great games in the past. I just think they are having trouble adjusting to a whole new set up. And for anyone who is talking about the Donkey Kong games being abandoned...there's a reason. Donkey Kong is owned by Nintendo since his first appearance wasn't produced by Rare. So Rare has never owned the rights to use Donkey Kong or anything associate with him for that matter. So there probably won't be another Donkey Kong game again, and if there will be it definitely won't be made my rare. If that happens, don't expect it to be anything like the past DK games.

However, despite everything, I love the Banjo series so much, I have to expect the next one to be amazing as well. I guess I'm an optimist, but I just don't think Rare is THAT bad now that they'd ruin one of their best series'.

yeah

they're doing a bit bad moves. I suggest they fix it and renew things up. Many of us enjoy, somehow, their games.

I'm still hoping they make a new Killer Instinct. Loved that game.

Goldeneye was awesome too with friends, many good times were had.

I think on the christmas card thing for Rare with Banjo by a fireplace one of the stockings had a "KI 2" on it. not sure, but its why people are speculating there is another one. and I wouldn't be surprised if there was myself.

I just want Conker's Bad Fur Day to be put on Wii VC.

And yet I'm sure it'll never happen. :(

I'll buy an Xbawx for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. I have to see Banjo Land for myself. Nostalgia overload...?

That's really the only reason I stopped following their games. Friggin' Xbox.
