They want to make a spiritual successor, that's different than a true successor.

In other words, they don't have the rights to make Banjo Kazooie, but they want to make a game similar to it.

But I support

I guess "not interested" means I am not allowed to state my opinion.
Makes sense to most. But it's not, NOT ALLOWED, just, why would you?

There will never be a Banjo game for a Nintendo console, again. Ever. However, we could see a Banjo-like game, for a Nintendo console mace by these guys, and I would support that.

I'm just busting your balls. Don't take what I said so seriously.

What I'm most curious about is the art direction they'll take with this if it happens. Will it go back to the way Banjo and the others looked in the first and second game? Or the more blocked style of Nuts & Bolts?

I read something like they'd go with the googly eyes so I'm guessing original Banjo artstyle.
Interested in what the game would be like though.

Aren't Rareware Kinect exclusive developers now? Nonetheless, I'd love them see to make that Banjo Racing game that Nuts and Bolts originally was, make it a sequel with platforming in the first half of the game to collect the car pieces. Pleases Microsoft and the hardcore, running on the Kinect is a pain. So please Microsoft, REVIVE RAREWARE.

I heard a rumour that Retro bought the patent... but I can only dream.

Its probably because I didn't grow up on a Nintendo 64 or the SNES so I never really got what the big deal about Rare, or by extension Banjo Kazooie was.

However, Retro working on it would get me interested. I'll be honest, I really wasn't impressed by DKCR but their work on the Metroid Prime games is outstanding as enough to warrant them giving another old franchise a good shot in the arm.

Or if a theoretical Retro Banjo just wasn't that good they could go back to making Metroid games.

Please go back to making Metroid games. The series needs you.

I wish Metroid stayed as a Metroidvania rather than a FPS thing

There are really only two sequels I want in this world:

Banjo-Threeie and Psychonauts 2

But then they should stop. On purpose. No need for dead horses around here.

Definitely would love for this to happen, BK/T were both amazing games.
