Quickplay getting worse and worse

Is it just me or is quickplay and the online in ultimate just becoming more unplayable every day, not only has lag gotten worse but now the matchmaking is atrociously awful, even in 4.2 Elite i get queued in FFA's with items on the worst stages and the most unbearable lag. A 3 minute match lasted more than 7 min because of all the lag.
So much so that I just prefer to undock the switch so that it disconnects right away.Before anyone says otherwise I don't have a crap internet, I'm on 30mbps up/down connected directly to LAN.

Even when playing with local friends who are also on LAN and on good connections I have experienced more lag than usual, it wasn't this bad before, what happened?

It might be you. Very rarely will I ever encounter someone who doesn't meet my standards. By "very rarely", I mean that tomorrow will be the third month of SSBU's release and I've only had maybe two matches that weren't intended to be as I expected.

Quickplay is hot garbage. Play in arenas.

Quickplay has been okay for me: sometimes I get paired up with someone using items or weird rules, but 90 percent of the time its roughly what I want.

Arenas are infinitely better though

My quick play is fine. I’m at 4 mil GSP and the only bad matches i get are 2 stock people. But a match with items is extremely rare. Maybe 1 in 50 matches. Also lag is rarely an issue. I play with lan adapter in West Europe. The chance laggy match is probably 1 in 15-20.

Make sure that your Background matchmaking is set to 1v1. Arena settings don't carry over for Quickplay, and FFA is basically the default (it's technically set to Any as defeault, but you'll mostly get FFA's and Team Battles unless you change it).

I usually get the general type of matches I want even if it's not always the same stock amount or battlefield, but I'm generally fine with Omega.

Lag seemed to have gotten worse, but I don't know if that's just my connection which got worse.

Still not a fan of matchmaking or GSP though.

I usually get omega or battlefield 2 stocks matches. the time limit varies, but is usually 6 or 5 minutes.

although today I went 1v1 FD with special flags as the only item set on high..... so that was fun.. -_-

lets hope 3.0.0 fixes all of this!

What game are you playing? It's like 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 for me.

I can't stand quick play. It's full of trash ass camping scrubs, item play, and trolls that will tea bag and time out after the first stock. I don't know anyone finds it enjoyable. I got my puff into elite smash and I vowed never to touch it again.

Quickplay has gotten better for me. Almost all of my matches have been 1 v 1s with no items, and the lag has been minimal for me in the last few battles. But to be honest, there should have been for fun and for glory again. That made more sense than this weird system.

What game are you playing? It's like 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 for me.

It generally gets better the higher up your GSP goes. My global GSP is around 3.7 mil.

I assume region also matters as the game must account for ping, but I don't know if there are any regions/countries with a high ratio of bad ruleset players, or anything. I'm in the U.S.
