So, the site updated to where you can have 'live topics.'

i think that basically makes AIM mafia obsolete, and personally, this could give the oppurtunity to play quick forum mafia games.

could play like EM/AIM, and i have an idea of how it could work.

OP can post a new topic saying "Quick Mafia Game 1 with a stupid theme."

OP can post the requirements, how long it will last, and how it will work.

EXAMPLE:

Megaman X Mafia

Requirements: None. (you could put certain requirements, 10 people only, people with dice only, etc.) [NO HYDRAS.]

question: how would everyone feel about making Dice games competitve quick games and you could wager your dice?

Time: (set the alotted time for the game to start, once that time is has been set, anyone who does not /IN before then is not allowed to play.) [6:00 PM, Tuesday.]

Players:

Rules: Obvious rules here

Open Setup/Closed Setup?

How pre-game will work: Pre-game will work almost like pre-game in a regular mafia game, however, pre-game ends after the set time begins.

How days will work: days will work like AIM/EM mafia, depending what the setup is, you might or not have the ability to PM someone.

Days will not have deadlines, and they should go by fast, the Mod will stay on the thread and set a time for the day to be over.

D1 STARTS, 20-30 MINUTES LEFT

or whatever the mod wants to set the time to.

DEPENDING IF THERE IS WHISPERS: Anyone will be allowed to PM anyone, you can also Leak PM's and the mod will post it.

everything else works like regular forum mafia.

how nights will work: if you are scum you will have scum meeting, if you are a mason,cult or any other meeting role, you will also have a meeting.

Nights should usually only be like 5 minutes, at top, if you do not make a choice by then, you will veg.

so it's basically EM/AIM mafia only on the forums and more freedom/themes and less inactivity in both.

AIM mafia never fills
EM is **** now

so this is the best option.

Dice probably shouldn't be given out for winning quick games, and Quick games should be a daily thing, if the means are right, perhaps you could make a sub-forum for only Quick games, so that the original forum doesn't get clustered with all of the quick games.

i wouldn't say that, there are some people who aren't playing any Dgames right now or waiting for one to start, this would be a good thing to do to pass time.

Also,the mod can also extend the time on days and nights if requested, but inactives will be kicked.

AIMmafia is such a cluster****, at least there is some sort of organization this way.

you won't be able to sign out or leave the thread after the game has started, you will be kicked or DQ'ed if you do, doesn't mean you have to helicopter it, but you do have to stay signed in and not leave the thread.

you could make a system or something, it was just a proposal, it's confusing because i'm terrible at BBcode and making my OP look pretty.

basically, you can have games with people who only have dice, or not, you can set requirements to the game.

Something you have to consider here. How would the scum whisper here? Private messaging, or AIM(in which case, why not just AIMafia). PMs would kinda remove the point of the Live Topic stuff. And also you could tell someone is PMing by looking at their "current activity" lol.

It'd also clutter the forums kinda. Ugly.

Although I'll admit, marathon day was pretty cool when we did that, so maybe it'd work.

perhaps have no PM's at all then, not like it would matter.

Night phases could be when scum could PM eachother, and the alike.

If you think Live Topics render AIM mafia obsolete you seriously haven't considered all the little things that make AIM mafia functional.

This is just plain dumb.

However, Live Topics would in fact greatly enhance the Marathon game experience. Shoot for something like that. Let AIM mafia be AIM mafia. Host another marathon day if you guys wanna use Live topic to its full potential.

^ It's where Xiivi hosted a bunch of small player games (between 4-10 people in each game iirc) that lasted around <1 hour. Deadlines were around 15-30 minutes. And Roxy was freaking scum in like every game I played >.<. So yeah, it was like aimafia except played on the forums.
