"wow i didn't play well in those videos" is an obvious john because you're implicitly denigrating the person who beat you. saying "i played well" after someone beats you is implicitly praising the person you lost to because you're not making excuses for your loss; you're just admitting you got outplayed and you give kudos to your opponent.

Saying you didn't play well is just another form of a john. If you can't see that, that's precisely the reason I call you a scrub. No one gives a **** that you weren't playing well; your opponent could just as easily go, "I wasn't playing well either." Consistency is a skill. If you don't have it, you suck. Don't john about it.
