So here I was on Cruel brawl, kicking the crap out of people and using ledge tactics, when I needed to Ub and a Red Alloy intercepted Ganon's hand with a QF and spiked me through the slant of the edge. The hand was approaching from directly under the angle, not above the ledge.

So I got to tinkering around, and I found that it can work on a few cast members for a safe gimp... the problem lies in the accurate timing. BF is the stage I tinkered on, but I'm quite sure this should work on Smashville, FD, Stadiums one and two as well as Delfino Plaza.

Furthermore, through platforms it works much better. The ideal place for the platform work IMO would be Smashville, due to the moving platform.

I don't think this is a sound strategy, but I think situationally it could even the odds or even bare victory.

I don't quite understand. A "Red Alloy's" quake gimped you? Is that what you're saying?

Yes, very efficiently. It was at the left slant of BF. His fist struck at almost the edge, right as Ganon should have grabbed it. I have tested it since and successfully spiked Ganon, Falcon, Starfox company and Lucario. Its difficult, but it works. Best I can figure is that the impact zone's hit box goes beneath where the fist strikes, subtly. It surprised me, greatly.

It seems that, when using the Quake, the spike hitbox of the down B (which is still the second-most powerful spike in the game) remains intact. It's best use is mostly to spike people through 'open' platforms, such as the main platform of Delfino Plaza. If your opponent tries to go up through it, spike 'em back.

Doesn't work, at least not with the quake. Quake will only hit grounded.

However, if you short hop just right to where a bit of purple fiya will come out, the you can connect with the spike part. I'm actually going to try and see if I can start using this a little more.

EDIT: Plus, how does red alloy use quake? Isn't red modeled after falcon or something?
