[QLD] Gold Coast Lan/video Game Tournament [UniLan] 18th June

Hey Guys,

UNILAN is a Lan and Console gaming meet up held at Bond University on the Gold Coast every four months. We run various gaming tournaments including ssbb 1v1, halo 2v2, dota 3v3, mvc3. Our next UNILAN is on Saturday 18th June.

The event is $15 for guys, $5 for girls and includes a pizza dinner and unlimited soft drinks throughout the day. The event officially opens at 10am and will run till about 2am Sunday morning. All tournament entries are free and will include minor prizes from extra money collected from entrance.

7:45 - 12:00 - Dota 3v3

Finals are best of 3

Team Slayer games
Score to win: 50 kills
Time Limit: 8 minutes
maps will include: countdown, zealot, nexus

Secondary Weapon: None
Health Recharge Rate: 0% (No recharge)
Melee Modifier: 75%
Player Speed: 110%
Jump Height: 110%
Player Gravity: 150%
Motion Tracker Mode: Off
Suicide Penalty: None
Betrayal Penalty: None
Respawn Traits: Equipment Usage: Disabled
Team Changing: Not Allowed

Rulesets for MVC 3 (PS3)
Best of 3 games, Double elimination rounds
Using the latest MVC3 update
Teams are not changeable between games
You will be given an normal PS3 controller, you may bring your own fightpad/stick if you choose
DHC glitch is allowed

Rulesets for Dota 3v3
Game Mode: AP
Double Elimination Rounds
Coin Toss if both teams want the same side
If a player disconnects at their own computer's fault the game continues without them
If the game disconnects multiple players as a networking fault, the game is to restart, unless the judge is certain that one team was virtually defeated (ie all towers down and creeps attacking the ancients)

Yeh, well done to Toki and Arrow. You guys are good, although I was a bit rusty on the day and dropped a few combos against Toki. I'll beat you next time for sure. But overall thanks for coming, I hope you guys enjoyed it.

It's on my calendar. I'll definitely be there, not really much of a competitor myself. But yeh, I'll come to keep up with the community and hang out.

dw, most people who play in qld aren't much of competitor and they just hang out for the company and to chill playing a fun game. only real competitive players are top 10 (at least from what i know, might be slightly different in brawl world).
