This is my first model edit, but not complete as of yet. I am creating a themed hack to Silent hill series, and of this theme I am creating the Pyramid headed creature

This is what I have so far in place of Ike:

Update: ingame shot with a slight glitch, and I think i know how to fix it
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e351/Kirbypop/IMGA0096.jpg
the strands behind him. could be that i did something to the bandanas

Update 2: Not sure if I had just screwed this up, but here is a texture edit now...

I will be creating a single thread soon to keep all my works together, so lookout for that...

Anyone willing to try him out? point out what needs fixing? here is the download link
http://www.filefront.com/16912613/PyramidheadIke.rar
I already know about the random strands that go down into the bottom left corner of the screen, i am still fixing that. if anyone know how to fix it, please tell me.

please discuss about what you think of this

(by the way, I am the same guy from KittyKorp, as I go by these names: TheRunningDafini, Kirbypop, and BaBCo)

Read the rules (they're stickied). You need at least two SWF members working on the project before you make a thread, as well as "significant progress". This means at least having the model completed, with probably some animations and PSA work done already too. Post this in the Fully New Character Archive (also stickied) until you meet the reqruirements for starting your own topic.

Seriously, um, do you even read these? It's not a character. It's just a texture hack. Also, a mod posted in my thread and didn't close it. So obviously, you were wrong twice. I'm not trying to start anything with you, but read these before you say anything to people.

Sorry, you talking to me or fen?... sorry.

also, there are vertex modifications with this one. I'll post in the archive anyway to avoid any conflicts

Nonononono! I was talking to Fen, dear. You don't need to post it there because it's not a character. You're fine. He thought you were making a character, and I guess didn't read any of your post, and made an assumption.

Oh! right, thanks. yeah, all it is (for the time being) is a change to the character appearance. I may give it a moveset, but as for now it is all appearance.

Well, you're right about at least one thing, ethanrodgers: I most certainly didn't read this post in full. I don't think this is supposed to have its own thread still, though, but I guess this is something that isn't ran into very often. I've only ever seen one person have their own thread for exclusively their projects, and it was Mr. Weegee for his characters (models + animations + PSA work), which was established long before the new rules were even made. Regarding your topic, yes, a mod did post in it. Why he didn't close it, I'm not sure. Him not closing it doesn't mean I was wrong in pointing out that it violates the rules, because it still most certainly does.

-and in other news, Fen_ has recently gained the new nickname of "The Eternal Criticizer".

@ Topic: Nice work on the model so far.

At least one thing, huh? Well, first off, no, it doesn't. It doesn't have any place else to go. It's Customized Content, and it's an idea. You keep telling people to post in the "Fully New Character Archive"; well, I've read that thread's OP and you can't post it there unless you have a working model, among other things.

Full New Character Archive said:
To be put in this archive, the character must have:

1. A model swap/creation.

2. A full animation set with a combination of animations swapped from the original and created animations.

3. A PSA moveset to go with it.
Note steps 1, 2, and 3 aren't optional. So I just proved to you that neither of our ideas/hacks go in that thread.
Ideas/Projects go here; how do you think the Amy thread got started? They didn't have a team, they started with a moveset. You need to stop posting on every thread acting as if you're "trying to better" the community and acting as if you're a mod. All you're doing is upsetting people and frankly, ******* them off. You aren't helping anyone. Now, if you want to continue arguing, save it, this thread is about a texture hack, not you.

I know right? It looks pretty **** great! I'm not even a Silent Hill fan and I'd download this for sure. It just looks too cool!

Actually, no. This does not belong in the Fully New Character Archive; you are right about that, and I already admitted I was mistaken in my earlier post. Yours, however, does belong there. Those criteria you posted are for being "archived" in the OP of the post as a "fully new character", something I think only maybe Cloud or Tails have accomplished so far. If you actually read the thread and the (now closed) topic that discussed the (then new) rules, you'd know that the Fully New Character Archive exists explicitly for the purpose I've been mentioning.

The current rules came about because newbies were making new threads for things they were never going to finish everyday, clogging up the forum. The old forum was split into a couple of new forums to give everything more room, and this forum got new rules that made it mandatory to develop projects in the Fully New Character Archive before they were given their own thread.

That's the history lesson. With that out of the way, let me say that I really don't care how you or anyone else feels about my posts. All I'm doing is citing the rules to people breaking them so that they know. I made a mistake when posting such in this thread, and I've already admitted I was wrong about that, so I'm not sure what else you expect regarding that. If you have any further problems with me, I say we just take it to PM so we don't clutter this thread.

Just shut up already fen. You don't even hack or I haven't even seen anything of yours worthwhile so just stick to the GBD or wherever the hell you troll.

To be on topic, it's an interesting hack, I've never played Silent Hill so I don't know whether or not to be amazed. Either way good job.

Alright, to alleviate some confusion, me, Veril and Vyse are the only Workshop mods. I really appreciate the help in directing people but, if you don't have a bolded, red name or an italicized gray name, you're not a moderator, you shouldn't be mini-moderating, just report the thread
and it alerts my email to the thread instantly and I can deal with it from my computer or my cell phone.

As for vertex hacks, I don't suppose I named the thread clearly, so my apologies for that. Try and post your vertex hack in the "Texture Database" thread that's stickied on top, as it deals with both textures and vertex hacks. Thanks!
