Public Brawl demos starting Jan 26 (in Japan)

According to IGN, Nintendo is putting up Wii demo stations in retail stores in Japan starting this Saturday. And the first title that will be used is Super Smash Bros Brawl. So it's safe to say there can be a lot more impressions coming in before the game itself is released. And this also pretty much confirms a US Brawl demo will show up in Gamestops and the like sometime next month. So the wait is gonna be a lot easier folks.

If it's the full game (which is possible... but Nintendo seem to have plenty of Brawl demo versions) then we could know the Final Starter roster (I'm not convinced it's 21, so sue me) and maybe some unlockables if people play the 1 player

Well at the very least it's a definite possibility and the fact that a Brawl demo is being released to any retailer gives a greater chance of seeing one at US retailers. Have some faith!

At wal-mart we DID have a demo station for the Wii for the christmas season in a different section of hte store which had Mario Galaxy on it... but they got rid of the unit as soon as the season was over, they just didn't think they could fit the unit back anywhere in our department and with most Wal-mart electronic department the demo area is almost too small for the space needed for Wii in general.

Don't really know the likelyhood of seeing a demo station for it, where I work it sounds unlikely.

30 stores will get the machines. They'll get them the 26th
They will be able to play brawl on the 31st. It's said as though "when Brawl arrives, it'll be able to play that too" which means, no, you won't get brawl early.

I don't think you realize that Japan does NOT have demo stations AT ALL. There was a ban placed forbidding kiosks ( I think Nintendo did it) Now the ban is lifted and kiosks will arrive on the 26th. The same Kiosks wil play brawl when it releases the 31st.

I didn't put this on my Japanese Everything page and Chi's Finest didn't put it on Brawl Central the other day because the article said it like Brawl will be playable in demo stations on the 31st. Not that major if you ask me since people will have the disc by then.
