Hmm...who do I dislike right now...bad Rwandans..(the killers) or Sony...Rwandans. They're killing to get the metals from the systems...that's insanely mundane. We need to do something to begin to prevent violence in the world. Too bad everyone will become corrupt with the insane power that is required to maintain peace and stability no matter what we do. As I see it, America is the closest we're going to come to freedom for present day life.

Society can only do so much considering that Government control is so absolute. I recently read an article about a man that was murdered; he was the creator of hydrogen powered vehicle. This may seem unfortunate, but the details of the murder were left in the dark. The Murderer was anonymous, this murder occurred before you made a patent, his work came up missing, and Honda has established plans for creating this vehicle for 70,000 dollars. Apparently, the vehicle ran on a Hydrogen fuel cell that separated itself from the oxygen

The mans name was Stan Meyers, and he was allegedly poisoned. Many claimed him as a fraud, but why would his equipment come up missing? If this isn't scientifically correct, then why would he be killed?

We have freedom only to the extent that the government wants us to have. Government and Democracy have been self contradicting in my opinion.

Do you think sony knew how exactly they were getting the metal? I think this is just another stupid way they are trying to blame everything on video games. It isn't like sony is the only company using the metal, and they have said they aren't getting it from there anymore after they found out what was going on. Could they have known kids were dieing? Could they have only switched when people found out and pretended they never knew to make themselves look better? Perhaps, but it seems like they are trying to hard to connect something bad to video games in this article.

It's not Sony who are killing these people, it's the mining companies bad policies and the horrible treatment of workers that are killing them. Sony should not feel ashamed by this, but they should search for alternative methods of obtaining the metal. Instead of dealing with shady mining businesses, they should invest in creating their own firm. However, this is expensive and quite honestly, a lot of work.

...which is why their business is with African's coltan mines because it's cheaper and easier in someway, and it's wrong what they are doing because kids down in Africa are being forced to work at their expense in exchange for Coltan Ore which I believe is a bloodstained, shady business

Thanks for realizing my point. Its a shame that the production of gaming consoles has come to this bloody conclusion.

...Government is only as absolute as the people allow it to be so. And that murder is worse than sickening. The people of today are disappointing me to no end.

They say this like Sony is the only party ultimately attaining the material. If it's traded hands so many times, doesn't it make sense that others would have taken just as much as Sony? Like the Roman Aqueducts. They existed primarily to bring water to Rome, but certain people would pay off the inspectors to allow them to siphon large amounts from the main vein for their own uses. I think it's kind of like that.

I don't think Sony are a bunch of corrupt, mass murdering sadist types. This sounds kind of ridiculous to me.
