RUINING EVERYTHING WITH EVERYBODY ELSE
I feel like light shielding is a really underused mechanic in melee, and the pmdt should definitely bring it back if it's feasible.
I donno about underused but it's a huge part of Melee that would do wonders in PM too.
Seeing the game evolve with Falco Dair-Shining shields and needing to adjust by dashing to SH Dair vs not based on how he was shielded against is sexy. Love shielding something and sliding miles too.
Angling your shield is very important in Melee for other reasons, but that isn't really one of them. Shield angling unfortunately is less of a factor in PM.
It's still beast, but yeah Melee had that down really well too. It seems it was almost as slow to be picked up on as pivots and shield drops and other very important tech too.
Hey

We need a new star fox game.

Like a real star fox game, the type where we remake the SNES game again.

And this time include that bawss weather change level

http://youtu.be/4P4IsBzMspE

This one
One of our locals actually holds some world records for the 64 starfox. Donno what and never seen him play, but he's got Fox dog-tags and all sorts of cool Fox stuff laying around his car too, it's sweet.
Oh yeah Mario's cape? I'm surprised there's not more moves in Brawl/Smash 4 that have item'like effects; things like spawning a temporary platform or screwing/limiting your opponents controls or turning invisible were all kept by Sakurai in good faith to remain as items.
And I'm guessing Bamesy beat PPMD in Melee Luigi vs Falco? The more I've been studying that MU recently people like Mango switch to Fox after Abate was taking games off his Falco and such, along with Eddie Mexico and all, I need to see what they think the MU ratio is.

I like how Sheik's needles act as a second long lasting hittable object(s) on the ground that can induce hitlag and extend recoveries and hitbox timings, and now I miss Shy guys in PM Yoshis.

And aside from Pokemon (and some other character?) in Brawl, we've never dealt with hitbox effects doing anything other than being aesthetic. Where like Ivy in Brawl I think took extra damage from fire effects or something. I need a refresher on the hitbox types listed in PSA: there's dark (Ganon fair), fire (Charizard fair), maybe water?

Also never make your W7 install partition only 37gigs
I donno who he played but it could've been luigi. I would guess pika because he thinks the matchup is hard and fun but I really have no idea if he would do that against a falcoGOD like that. I know he beat mangos fox with mario just before the scorp a dorp run but never saw him play any others of the big 5. He plays a lot of weird characters really well. lol

Cape is also beast for messing up teching. I've had kills on players way better than me by caping them after simple throws and stuff. Can't tech after a short window if you press shield too early so it's a great miss-tech setup.
I don't play mario in pm + haven't played mario/doc in melee in AGES but I bet if I did I would still love cape like I did when I was a lot worse/not as knowledgeable or experienced of a player.

Oh I played smash 4 demo too
It's not bad, but it's not that good either
Will wait for wiiu/full game
Will wait harder for 3.5

..nah cuz
He ain't no low tier
It's an old P:M joke.

Low Tier City 1 had a trailer stating Texas was the P:M region (still is for the most part) and that their best players played low tiers, and showed some clips of those players. Then it showed footage of Sethlon destroying Awestin with Marth.

Ever since then we've called Marth low tier, even though it's not the case.

LOL Psych, Marth bottom 5 easy

Am I the only one here who after playing the demo is almost certain the response lag is going to completely invalidate competitive play on the 3ds?

It could, unless Nintendo patches it/there's an easy fix we don't know about.

The Wii U version invalidates the 3DS for competitive play. It's going to be a practice tool at best.

Can you imagine two separate tournaments in an identical format at one event for the same game?

I still don't think it should be an identical format. we got options in-game, let the 3ds format play with custom moves

A short hop input would be great. Unless you use X for footstool, you could use it for short hop. It is comparable to Z for grab Vs. shield grabbing.

That's how I always thought of it.

Compete on console, practice on the go with the 3DS, or play under the covers like we're 8 again.

This example is blown out of proportion.

While the idea is similar Smash is focused on interaction of players outplaying other players or in doubles, that plus teamwork. In Mario, you simply avoid or kill the enemies on the intent of reaching a flag or in the long run, Bowser (typically). The enemies are pretty negligible as you can pass them without too much worry (depends), they're there for the point of pressuring you into not messing up via overwhelming you or limiting where you can go. You could argue that enemies in Mario are similar to mechanics in smash in that they're there to add "depth" to the game and not just have it so it's just Tic Tac Toe.

Got distracted and don't remember if I have anything else to say.
He was saying that if all the Goombas in Mario were M2K's Shiek, missing L-cancels would make the game un-fun.

I use Chrome for most things, generally just because Firefox looks more depressing and confusing aesthetically

Foobar2000 owns the crap out of Itunes for playing offline music though, more programs need global hotkeys

and yeah, I was probably a Chrome and Foobar2000 user before it was cool

It isn't worth it

Their using another browser does not affect your experience.

I have IE, MF, Safari, and GC installed on all my computers. It isn't hard, doesn't affect performance, and you don't have to bother to fite for DA best browzah

Also if chrome is

Does that mean it is used by democrats?

Perhaps you were looking for $#!+, or

I personally am using safari atm, and use chrome when possible.

Mozilla is good too though, and for a while, since I am

I was thinking of switching.

However, my cousin's BFF works @ google; they have victory in inertia

Winamp is still good

I use iPhone so I am somewhat tiedup
Yeah, and I can't find a MP3 player that's better than an iPod outside of certain Android phones with expanded memory. I'm weird. I don't like having music on anything outside of my desktop or a designated MP3 player.

As for Winamp, I just wanted a little more functionality. Since nobody's doing updates for the program anymore, I figured I'd move on to the next best thing.
