It's weird when people call Chu a fraud. Swallow can be a risky strategy since you can get punished hard for it due it's long end lag, but more importantly Kirby's normal game is mostly based on reads and just overall smart play rather than just 0-to deaths unlike a lot of characters. Chu is a smart player and if it weren't for the fact that for every other kill he does a swallowcide, more people would see how much he has to work for the KO.

It's weird when people call Chu a fraud. Swallow can be a risky strategy since you can get punished hard for it due it's long end lag, but more importantly Kirby's normal game is mostly based on reads and just overall smart play rather than just 0-to deaths unlike a lot of characters. Chu is a smart player and if it weren't for the fact that for every other kill he does a swallowcide, more people would see how much he has to work for the KO.

Im a Kirby main myself, I know everything about him, more than Chu. I call him a fraud because of all the missed kills and combo opportunities that he'll do. Example, Its like watching a Falco get to GFs at a tournament and not know how to SHFF Laser or Pillar combo, and would use Side-B to attack, knowing that stuff that Wes, Mango, and PPs Falcos can do, hed still be considered the best... like what?? The only reason i'd do worse than chu is because hes way smarter than me and has more experience playing smash competitively, and on top of that Ill never play my matchups correctly even tho i could explain the matchup extremely well and when I start messing up I get frustrated and start choking like M2K. Thats why i think if we fused DBZ style, wed take every tournament easily and Kirby would definitely be nerfed to ****. Kirbyciding is really situational, I totally agree with you... the way chu uses it is very difficult to land and Im surprised people run into it, its like people who would run into random Puff rests. (looks at sig above xD)

Chu is more a fundamentals player. But keep in mind the limit to your play is often your brain processing speed, so sometimes if you process too much about Kirby specifics you might autopilot in fundamentals.
Still I am convinced Chu could muscle memory more combos and Kirby specific stuff, it often seems not optimized to me.

Thats probably exactly my problem, Ill go into autopilot, do stuff, mess up, realize how dumb that was, get frustrated, mess up more, get frustrated more... and it goes on. I need to learn how to fix that first before I go to any big tournaments. I have a lot of respect for Chu as a player being in the smash community for as long as he has and everything, his game vs Ally in Brawl where he 0-death'd his snake really made me wanna pick up Kirby, so without him I'd probably be some top tier ***** or something idk. So I have him to thank for that, its just our playstyles differ so much it kinda frustrates me that hes doing so good which isnt a good thing to think i know. Theres no one that is well known that I can use as an analogy to our playstyles lol. Just think Chu is to campy fox that will force a SHDL time out, as I am to Mango's Fox. Its fox but i hope people still get the point... meaning I probably shouldnt be playing Kirby that crazy or aggro, not necessarily super aggro... but more so crazy with the movement and mindgames with a somewhat aggro bait and punish.

Why's everyone so against Kokonoe? Our copy of BB was the Continuum Shift Extend, so we never had her. Also we're total scrubs that don't know the button combos in traditional fighters. Also she was pretty chill in story mode IIRC.

@ PMS | Tink-er People hate her cause she has loads of stuff that other characters dont have and she was pretty the equivalent of Meta Knight Tier before the game got patch and Evo was planning to ban her for Evo if the game didn't get patched.

@ PMS | Tink-er Pre-patch, Kokonoe was easily the best character in CP, to the point where tournaments honestly considered banning the character (Alex Valle's Rebel Up actually did). She had a blockstring infinite, godlike hitboxes on all her normals, various unblockable setups that are inescapable for most of the cast, and guaranteed touch-of-death combos from anywhere on the screen. She was just not fun to play against at all.

And goddamn, Garireo crawling back from losers in CP against Dogura of all people.

chu plays hella automatic (like most of the best players do). that said i'll let him know you think he sucks so he can garner your swaths of bountiful kirby mastery.

IIRC, light button-links into combos intentionally do less damage than their heavy versions, which actually makes a lot of sense, makes it so heavy isn't just for combo material

Says the guy in a Smash forum, a game where the combo system is almost entirely based off of reading your opponent, even moreso than traditional fighting games (which are still heavily read based).

Also why would Saberwulf have a zero to a frame DP that covers your whole body and it's a simple Down UP input ? that is really silly of a DP move.
