Really though, one of the most enjoyable and passionate dates I've had in a long while. My job's kinda been beating my ass lately, so free time has been extremely precious. Video games have just become less and less of a priority for me these past few months, and quite frankly, less interesting. I didn't even care to tune into E3, I just looked at the new Zelda footage and that was it. Fighters are really the only games that keep my interest now, and it's the social circles and intimate 1v1 nature of the matches that have a lot to do with it (plus Guilty Gear's just a good ****ing game, play it), but even that can fade too in the future.

It feels really weird and honestly scary to me that I feel so blasé towards something that used to be one of my favorite hobbies. I heard taking a long hiatus from something can re-spark an interest in it, but also there's the chance of you just straight up moving on anyway. Not sure if I really want to make that commitment, but I'm definitely going to aim to spend time and money more on experiences and the people I care about than any more games at this point. I'm sure none of y'all give a ****, but idk, it's not like I could really speak to anyone else about this stuff.

I've only actually participated in like 3 team events ever, two of which were with Jolteon
looking to change that though I really like playing teams, I get to do lots of pika stuff I don't get to do in singles

In other news my personal most hype set of the tournie was hyperflame vs mrlz
my heart skipped a beat every time hyper got a downair holy crap that was soooo cool to see
I also watched Mojo beat Lucky, although it didn't really look like Lucky put his soul into it haha... good **** anyways though

It actually makes sense. Due to the death of the artist mentality, artists really only create information, and other people, critics, attach meaning to it.
This also explains why popular and highly acclaimed art is less allegorical and open to interpretation.

Today is rough.

I had a day off yesterday where I had to go to the medical center again because I had a mild allergic reaction to my blood pressure med full dose. I'm back on antibiotics in case it happens to be a resurgence of my cellulitis that I was having (4 a day which is insane), but I called the cardiologist to drop the dose down back to half of what it was. He said I could do that, and if it doesn't get better in a few days, stop altogether. So far, it seems like cutting it back to half is fine, but we'll see, I guess.

Unfortunately, all of this has thrown me off the sleep cycle I just got working, and I'm now awake at 10 am when I leave for work again in 12 hours. And though it would probably be better for me to sleep, I will more than likely instead be eating something.

Guh.

In other news, I'm going to an EVO party and playing an iron man against one of my friends. Going to be interesting.

I've done full rosters with this guy twice and what really kills it is just how much of an endurance run it is. We cut it down to 15 for this one initially because we both screw around with a hell of a lot of secondaries, but I cut it again last night after thinking harder on it.

Between the two of us we'll have nine unique characters, so it'll probably be more entertaining for the partygoers that way.

So I've decided that I'm gonna trade in my Wii U and games. Maybe use the store credit to pay towards either a New 3DS or save the money and get a PS4 later.

Any game suggestions for either one you guys would recommend? When I had a 3DS before, I played Smash 3DS, Mario Kart 7, KI: Uprising, KH3D (Which I'll be getting again via 2.8), Sonic Generations 3DS, Pokemon X & Y, the first two Mighty Switch Force games and the original Shantae. I've played Pirate's Curse on the Wii U and will get it on Steam later. Definitely getting Half Genie Hero, too. And Mighty No. 9, regardless of the debacle surrounding it.

I'll probably get Final Fantasy Explorers and the next Monster Hunter. Kinda curious about Bravely Default, too.

Definitely would pick up the Bravelies. If you haven't played Shovel Knight yet for some reason (I'm sure you have) it's a pretty decent pickup for handheld purposes as well.

It is quite fun. I'm bad at platformers, but the game is just so rewarding and interesting that it makes me power through just to get to new bits.
