I mean, it shouldn't be that simple, no, but in the grand view of things it sort of is. it's a reality you'll see pop up all the time, should you look into the history of activism; the NAACP would pick and choose cases that they thought would be easier for the public to agree on in their favor, since too much anger, even when it's highly justified, is a dealbreaker that let ppl justify their discrimination

honestly, you can still see it in a modern-day light, because a lot of activism is immediately swept up due to it; oh, ppl are rightfully a bit pissed at the fact that their police force has deep roots in racism? well, they were a bit loud about it so **** em

The personal solution is to always write text with language and presentation as detached as possible from emotion.
One might not get as many responses or sway as many minds, but it's more conducive to reason and self-honesty.
An example, I was about to put 'Sure, you might not...' just there, but 'sure, you' is language that assumes the disposition of the reader.

But I rather like it when people criticize structure, which I think is something different entirely.
It's more about crafting text with the principles of good writing.
Concision, clarity, distinction, organization, those sorts of things.

Yeah but it is no fun when you just want to respond on your phone in a quick 10 seconds, but you miss a comma and suddenly the other person refuses to respond. Bleck is fun when he actually responds, but most of the time he just states his opinion, in a very aggressive way and then shuts down any further discussion.

And it is absolutely boring. I like my internet fights to be interesting and possibly even informative for everyone.
