Careful with your wording, now.
Elaborate.Twitch was just in pokemon.

Soon we'll be running window 3.1 on it.
:-(Oh, @ Saxophoneoftime that song is kinda lameeeee it reminds me of that panty and stocking song fly away, but bad

Shoulda bought some of the titles I snagged. We could have played togetherThere was a steam sale for a bundle of translated RPGs i had never played, like 80% off so I bought it. It looks like I just bought a bunch of lolicon/maple story style platform RPGs. I doubt I'll ever play them.
I'm realizing the danger of steam sales
Always.@ Saxophoneoftime was it worth getting 4-stocked
Just make the cartridge reset itself or something, jeez
Why can't you be more like Lunchables.Always.
Doesn't mean it can't happenS-S-SHUT UP MAN
<Mad}>: u ever have corn nuts?*Sees the @traffic. irc quote in Spidermad's sig*
WHERE HAS THE HERO OF OUR TIME/IRC GONE!?
WHERE ARE MY TRAFFIC'S COMBO KITCHEN ENTRIES?! D:
Why can't you be more like Scotch. Why can't you be more like Lunchables.
What's the nameThere was a steam sale for a bundle of translated RPGs i had never played, like 80% off so I bought it. It looks like I just bought a bunch of lolicon/maple story style platform RPGs. I doubt I'll ever play them.

Get out while you still can. There was a steam sale for a bundle of translated RPGs i had never played, like 80% off so I bought it. It looks like I just bought a bunch of lolicon/maple story style platform RPGs. I doubt I'll ever play them.
I'm realizing the danger of steam sales
No you won't.Got dishonored a few days ago off a sale, it was like $4 or something.
Bro played it and said it's good. I'll play it one day, along with fallout 3 whenever I decide to leave my bed.
Wow, so much Freudian bull****.Doesn't mean it can't happen
<Mad}>: u ever have corn nuts?
<traffic>: dude i've smoked weed for 12 years
<traffic>: have i ever had corn nuts
and then him going into his long shindigs with people (in this case Umbreon)
<Umbreon>: sorry i went out to get dinner
<Umbreon>: thats interesting though
<Umbreon>: my issue with psychology is that i feel like everyone around me is overly-sensitive
<traffic>: its true though
<traffic>: most people are
<traffic>: the puzzle becomes understanding why, and to what
<traffic>: everything has roots to childhood, typically
<Umbreon>: well, that by extension makes me atypically insensitive, which most people think is bad
<traffic>: its all relative matters of perspective
<traffic>: to a sensitive person, being able to ignore feelings is terrifying and cold
<Umbreon>: really?
<traffic>: to someone who can ignore their feelings, being unable to appears weak and immature
<Umbreon>: i kinda just figured people are how they are
<traffic>: sure, but thats simplifying it
<Umbreon>: yeah i feel like a lot of people are both ofthose things
<traffic>: i am how i am, which is going to be different to whoever meets me and interprets my behaviour
<Umbreon>: being at the mercy of your own emotions without control of them seems scary to me
<traffic>: yea absolutely
<traffic>: i feel the same way
<Umbreon>: like you never know when you're going to do something stupid and regret it later
<Umbreon>: idk
<traffic>: absolutely
<Umbreon>: hm
<Umbreon>: i didn't know this was a common thing
<traffic>: thats why people who arent in control of their emotions are wildly inconsistant
<traffic>: always in constant crisis mode
<traffic>: they lack the ability to gauge how serious a situation is
<Umbreon>: yeah actually
<Umbreon>: YES
<Umbreon>: you're blowing my mind lmao
<traffic>: because when someone only has their feelings to guide their mental processes
<traffic>: they learn over their life to respond emotionally to everything
<traffic>: which means they only have 2 ways of understanding the world around them
<traffic>: good and bad
<Umbreon>: sounds super borderline
<Umbreon>: i grew up with a lot of those people
<traffic>: and there is never any way of guessing what triggers either reaction
<Umbreon>: i never really understood them
<Umbreon>: i just randomly pissed them off all the time
<Umbreon>: and it never made sense
<Umbreon>: no real pattern
<traffic>: its essentially the same way a 3 year old works
<Umbreon>: well, children generally have a better moral compass than the unpredictable people in my life do
<traffic>: only in the sense that they have good and bad feelings
<traffic>: however a 3 year old has no understanding of complexity
<traffic>: killing someone is bad
<traffic>: but what about killing a serial killer?
<traffic>: the reaction would be "there has to be another way because killing is bad"
<traffic>: even though a reasoning mind would see the greater benefit of the "bad" action
<traffic>: however once you can understand causality, basic good and bad morality stops existing
<Umbreon>: yeah like, i try to explain to my family that we live in a grey world and they just don't relate to me at all
<Umbreon>: i started to hate the ideas of morality and justice because they seem infantile
<traffic>: they are idealogies used to manipulate the behaviour of people that dont understand them
<traffic>: if you consider the moral spectrum to be black and white, with every shade of various grey in the middle, you have to attach a bell curve to it as well
<Umbreon>: all of the people i talk to about morality seem really skewed, it's actually why i started t oavoid religion
<traffic>: there are very few individuals on either side who are self aware and effective
<traffic>: and they influence the people in the middle
<traffic>: who as you approach the middle, are less selfaware, and in turn, less effective at changing the world around them
<traffic>: the less control someone has around their lives, the more miserable they are, and the less capable of changing/improving their lives are
<Umbreon>: no lie, i always thought that was a cultural thing
<Umbreon>: the black and white extremism
<traffic>: ah but that in itself is the scary part
<jerems>: So the cheats still don't show up in ocarina
<traffic>: because if you can create a culture that is staunchly black and white to people that are stuck in the middle-grey
<traffic>: then they dont understand anything around them
<traffic>: and that makes them completely malleable
<Umbreon>: i feel like america is hugely black and white thinking
<traffic>: people who have no sense of awareness, and are at the whim of their most basic emotions, are the easiest to convince
<Umbreon>: maybe thats wrong too idk
<jerems>: When I put the files in my SD card, the codes folder was in the root
<traffic>: buy a house, get a job, have 4 kids, struggle to survive, and accomplish nothing
<jerems>: but they still aren't showing up
<traffic>: keep paying exorbitant taxes, get robbed by the system
<Umbreon>: i'm like... the exact opposite of that, except for the accomplishing nothing part lol
<traffic>: people who seek to control and **** the masses take advantage of the people's lack of understanding
<Umbreon>: well **** i'm at work for another 10 hours, got any good sites i should read?
<traffic>: which means creating a sensationalist culture of black and white (ideals no one can achieve or live) is the best way to manipulate them
<traffic>: uh, i dont really know about websites, i've just done a ****ing boatload of psychedelic drugs and read a lot of books
<Umbreon>: well, that can go conspiracy theory really fast
<Umbreon>: oh damn
<traffic>: absolutely
<traffic>: thats a matter of perspective
<traffic>: for example
<DTLP>: I know this is a troubleshooting room but who wants tp play PM
<Umbreon>: idk i'm mostly just really fascinated by the victim complex because that's so far removed from my person that it makes no sense to me
<traffic>: well
<traffic>: i'll use an example
<traffic>: a friend of mine, when he was 5, had his father commit suicide
<traffic>: and his mother/family only had one way of consoling him
<traffic>: and that was to tell him "its not your fault"
<traffic>: and they would buy him toys and anything he wanted
<traffic>: by the time he was 35, his entire world view had grown into a complex where under no circumstances was he ever at fault for anything
<traffic>: and he would fill his emotional void with material things
<Umbreon>: hm
<traffic>: now, i understood that immediately about him, and whenever ANYTHING would happen that would make him feel bad
<traffic>: he blamed the other person
<traffic>: and was sociopath-tier at justifying any behaviour
<Umbreon>: i'm not really sure what the basis is for my beliefs though
<traffic>: he would lie immediately about the reasons he had done something
<traffic>: and the scary part was he immediately believed it 100%
<traffic>: which meant that he could never tell a lie, or do anything bad, because it was always someone else that MADE him do something
<Umbreon>: i knew someone that was reasonable most of the time, but would drop off and become really unstable, and then a bunch of problematic characteristics would emerge that hadn't been there before
<traffic>: triggers
<traffic>: now
<traffic>: my friend learned far too late in life why his dad offed himself
<Umbreon>: the only trigger i was aware of was a very blanket "invalidation"
<Umbreon>: ok, so what happened?
<astro>: i just became aware we didnt see the spamming dude who posts all names in this irc in a while
<traffic>: his dad had been leading two lives and had a secret family, severe alcoholism and depression issues
<traffic>: but learning that doesnt just change a lifetime of personality development
<Pinkie_Pie>: oh damn i forgot his name astro
<astro>: he has no name
<Pinkie_Pie>: !****list
<traffic>: just a legend
<astro>: for he has no form
<Pinkie_Pie>: oh ya
<traffic>: pur
<Pinkie_Pie>: willy wonka
<traffic>:
<Pinkie_Pie>: and purranger ya
<Umbreon>: lol @ ****list
<traffic>: but, basically, where i was going with that
<Umbreon>: you've given me a lot to think about, so thanks
<traffic>: is the effects of our earliest traumas can lead to years of denial
<traffic>: for instance
<traffic>: my first memory is drowning
<Umbreon>: so you think by the time someone is say 25 they're just that way for good?
<traffic>: being trapped under water
<traffic>: i cant put my face in the shower without being uncomfortable
<traffic>: i cant breathe if i do it
<traffic>: not that people breathe in the shower
<traffic>: but i panic when i cant breathe underwater
<Umbreon>: yeah i get that
<traffic>: i cant swim as a result
<traffic>: im 26
<traffic>: i can kind of dogpaddle a little bit before i just want to get out of the water
<Wavebuster>: I have a similar problem with driving.
<traffic>: but, people are never anything for good
<traffic>: but if something happens to me at age 5, and i become aware of new information when im 25
<traffic>: it might take me another 20 years to change and get over it
<Pinkie_Pie>: i take these traumatic experiences are more effective at early age then it would at a later age
<traffic>: it might take less, it might take more
<s0ftie>: did you figure out how to load pm from a copy of brawl on a usb?
<traffic>: everythign is more traumatic as a kid
<|3rian>: guys im so sad
<s0ftie>: derp nvm
<|3rian>: for the first time in my life
<|3rian>: I fought a falco
But
sarchasm is beautiful
Are you talking about Traffic as in the combo kitchen god. This is why we need @traffic. back m8s. The man was profound but surprisingly elegant to listen to, whether or not you quite agreed with him. Where is our hero now?
Yesh. Are you talking about Traffic as in the combo kitchen god.

Carpe Fulger collectionWhat's the name
Like... just curious.
It was of things pertaining to far greater import, incomprehensible to us below the realm dictated of ethereal beings.I just read the Combo Kitchen. I thought it was about custom combos. It was not.
When are they gonna do one for http://www.foregen.org/ ?As much fun as it is to make fun of AGDQ (and it is), it really is a great event put on by great people for a great cause. It really gives gamers a good name, and it makes me proud to be a part of the gaming community.
If you can, make sure to donate! If you can't, please spread the word to anyone who may be interested in watching speedruns, or watch it yourself
Psychological damage...When are they gonna do one for http://www.foregen.org/ ?
Streaming 24 hours a day for a week straight with tons of different games, runners, and many many different things to keep up with is always going to cause some errors, many of which are humorous. Like when the runner told everyone to be quiet to listen to transistor's music after a boss (because the music is amazing) and the game audio stopped working lol. Also, there are so many runs, that there are bound to be quite a few more "niche" runs that aren't going to appeal to everyone, usually RPGs and stuff. Is there a reason we make fun of them? I only watched a guy play Mike Tyson's Punch Out and the Sunshine speed runs last year, for like a half hour each.
Low stream quality? Cringeworthy moments?
Are we talking about speedrunning or foreskin??You don't need any reason to troll, but it's certainly helpful.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
