You won't damage your wii u don't worry. Make sure there's nothing else on your wii u and that you have no files in stage builder currently (check with no sd card in). Even if your wii freezes you can just unplug the power and try again to no harm.
Ok cool. I'm gonna try it now

How do I get this working on homebrew? Just delete the boot.elf and ST folder in projectm?
You don't need to delete anything. Just put the Project M launcher in the apps folder on the root of your SD card and simply launch it through the Homebrew channel

Is there a way I can have two seperate project M launchers in homebrew? One with PMPE and one with regular Project M 3.02

Not that I know of. If you want to have multiple builds on one SD card, you'll have to switch between them on your computer. It's probably possible to build a custom launcher that can choose which .gct file to load, but I don't know anyone who has done it yet (you'd probably also need a custom gct so that the file patch code differentiates between each build).

So i put PMPE on my SD card but I had to make a homebrew version since my SD card is more than 2 gigs. Everytime I select a stage or if I go back from stage select the game freezes for about 10 seconds then resumes to what it was doing. Sometimes the menu music will cut out in the middle during stage select as well. I've formatted my SD card as FAT32 and I defragged it before I tested it out.

I made it home brew by deleting the private folder and boot.elf and copied over the projectm launcher from the homebrew regular project M into my apps folder.

Hey patt, your build is amazing, thank you for doing this for everyone. I just wanted to ask if you kept a music list. I wanted to know the names of the songs on nofair. And is it possible to switch out some songs on our own or will the "music selection glitches" you mentioned make it more complicated?

I don't know why, but I won't start up for me I've had the regular Project M work with no problem. I just can't get this one to work though. P.S. I'm playing on the WiiU. Hope you can help!

I live in Europe and got Project M on Pal working on my Wii. I guess it will technically work with your Mod, too. But i just don't know how i should put all those files into a 2GB SD - Card.
Is there any way?

Project M 3.0.2
Custom Menu/Icons/Music/Strap
Custom character skins

Works with:

NTSC Hackless Wii Only
Gecko OS
Dolphin Emulator (You have to create your own virtual SD card)

This is a compilation I have gathered of the coolest character models and UI updates and placed them over top the awesome Project M 3.0.2. I did none of the modeling, I only gathered the models. It doesn't freeze, and all the CSP and BP's were custom fitted by me. This serves as a great spring board for any new or veteran brawl hacker to put their own characters/stages in. It is not WiFi safe or valid for teams or tournaments.

Each character has a different model with each of its costume changes. Characters are still balanced to Project M 3.0.2, but the different textures allow for any player to choose from hundreds of different characters. (Please note that I don't change movesets and all movesets are balanced to the most recent version of Project M 3.0.2)

Enjoy! And ask me anything, I will even change aspects upon request. I love a challenge!

Yes sir! All you do is put the files on an 2GB non SDHC SD card, insert it into wii, start up Brawl, and go to stage builder. The code should run from there. There is a read me in the file that goes into greater detail :)

Was that an answer to me?
I'm not sure actually. I need to change that because there's no read me any more haha. Can you explain your question? How did you get it working on PAL before?

I have a question whenever I try to play this it won't work. I have a 2GB SD card and I have no maps created. P.S. I'm playing on the WiiU ans Project M worked like a charm for me. PP.S. Sorry for the other posts I'm new at posting on this. Hope you can help. :coolmonke:
The only thing I can say is format? Other than that I don't know man, because it's worked fine for me on my woo and dolphin as well as multiples of other people. I'm running project m itself so start up is identical to vanilla project m. Hope you figured it out!

Hey patt, your build is amazing, thank you for doing this for everyone. I just wanted to ask if you kept a music list. I wanted to know the names of the songs on nofair. And is it possible to switch out some songs on our own or will the "music selection glitches" you mentioned make it more complicated?
Well I have no music list yet. I'm going to so that in the next few days as my build is pretty much complete. A change log and character listing is something I've wanted to do for a while. You can switch out your own songs for sure! Use the handy brawl stage manager (google it) to look at the stages in my PAC and check the songs. There's also a brawl song manager too. That's what I use to check the songs. Sorry for the inconvenience but customize away!

Ask google "How do I format an SD Card?"

It will give you links with adequate directions for mac or PC.

Oh ok...so i shoukd have the normal project m along with the hack????....and can a direct download link??
No no haha. All you need is my pack! Project m is built in to it.

You've used normal project m before right? Extract the files from my download and place it in your Sd card so it looks EXACTLY like how you had project m.

Good luck.

May I ask what link? I'm confused at what your downloading.. All the files you need are in my initial post under downloads..?
Hey Patt! Thanks for the mod. I think people are talking about my videos I've made of your mod, that are doing rather well on YouTube. The links are just to the OP.

In case you wanted to check them out:

Patt Edition .05

Patt Edition .07

We are loving it thus far, and might do an install video for this, as so many people are asking and or having trouble. Looking forward to the next update!

tried applying this pack today, everything seems to be working fine (char select screen, maps are there etc) but whenever any alternate skins are selected or a new map is chosen the wii freezes when the map is loading. is there any known fix for this? any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Just watched your videos!!! Thanks so much for covering my pack and showing it on twitch. My biggest desire for this pack is to light a fire under Brawl's aging belly so people will bring it out for parties again. Any critiques you have about -07? I'm working on the update for -08 now and am going through comments to see some changes that should be made.

Thanks again!

Good luck! Please keep trying. I hope it'll be worth your time!

Make sure you formatted your SD card prior, that you are using NTSC wii, that you went through the stage builder method of loading, and that there were no extra stages on your wii. Also make sure your not trying to drop my pack ontop of an existing project M build. Hope this helps!

Hey Patt, you think you can put a Inuyasha texture for wolf in the next update?
I'll think about it! It is a good texture so maybe :p

Hey Patt, I'm having some problems with classic mode in solo player. I was picking Sora (Roy's texture) and it froze. Help me please.

Take all the files off your card, format it and place them back on. Should help.

I'll do tests too myself but I don't often use solo mode so thanks for the bug update! I'll look into the character for next update too.

For any and all questions regarding installation and or troubleshooting please refer to the OP on page 1 first before posting on this thread! Of course when all options are exhausted feel free to ask.

Have a nice day! And thanks Theytahk for letting me "borrow" your guide. Don't be mad! ;)

Here's a peak at what's coming in the next update:
