Potential Roster/Stage Leak Thread

"All the characters will be the same" does not necessarily extend to DLC. I'm sure the two games will launch with the same characters, but once the game is out it's out. Anything else is an expansion that you're free to buy or not--it's not "the game" per se, and, thus, might lend them some wiggle room to launch separate DLC characters.

I think we are way beyond fake videos now.

One more just was added, and 3 of them are Bowser Jr. gameplay. And those gameplays are flawless, even the Bowser is the new Bowser with the higher stance. I'll admit though that the shulk video is very strange, but it's all the same source.

I concede, I cannot deny footage that is clearly running off the 3DS game and being shown on screen. No way that could faked.

As for how I feel about this roster:

Very happy with Bowser Jr. Not only does he look like a fun addition and they implemented him in a quirky way, but now less people can be angry at Rosalina's inclusion. I'm really happy for Bowser Jr's. most dedicated fans, and since I've always had a soft spot for the little tike (they may have squandered his potential as an engaging character after Sunshine, but at least he's cute), I'm personally happy he's here. Him and Rosalina complete the Mario roster IMO. No more Mario characters are necessary for Smash, we have all of the most popular and most important Mario characters. And it's an awesome set of characters.

Shulk seems fine, though I don't know anything about him from his source game, so I can't comment on much. Seems like a fun character with great range, and again, happy that people may get their #MonadoMonday soon!

Have nothing to get from Duck Hunt/Mr.Peepers, but in terms of WHO he is, I'm sure a lot of people will like him. I hope he plays great.

The majority of Brawl vets being back makes me very happy.

And I still don't like Dr. Mario. Found him the worst addition in Melee, and find him worse here, since we KNOW he can be done as an alt costume. I basically feel the same about Dark Pit and Lucina, but at least they are characters with their own fans so it's not QUITE as bad. I hope Dark Pit is better differentiated from Pit than Lucina is from Marth and Dr. Mario is from Mario.

Now, I know the roster leak is real...but what's the deal on the rest? I haven't caught up yet...

For my pre-emptive opinions, assuming the other parts are real:

The 3DS stage list will be disappointing to me. Too many Brawl/Melee stages and not enough new stages to off put that.

The DLC roster is great, and makes me excited to see Snake again.

I was skeptical on how Bowser Jr.'s move set but it looks fine. Now I just hope Wolf and IC will be there to that would be a shame if they were removed.

I bet you the biggest reason they were cut was the 3DS' capabilities of running four IC players at once, which is kinda sad to think about. Sakurai was having trouble including them into the game.

I'm kinda salty at the moment.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of playing as the Duck Hunt dog, it just sound hysterical, but...seeing people like Dr. Mario and Black Pit in the game and no Ice Climbers to be found (they were some of my favourite characters to play as, both in Melee and Brawl) don't look so good. And then...there is no Mewtwo. And Ganondorf is still a Falcon clone, from the looks of it.

Yeah I sorta feel the same way. I think Ghirahim was more worthy of a slot than Dr. Mario, Duck Hunt Dog, and Pittoo so it's sort of insulting.

Duck Hunt Dog...did he get in for being a meme, I guess? Meh, he might grow on me, I tend to be a fan of joke characters.

Dr. Mario definitely should not be his own slot, just make him a costume, goddamnitt.

Kid Icarus, as much as I loved Uprising, doesn't deserve three reps. Damn Sakubias. Oh well, at least he's a cool character, aside from the cloniness.

Leaks are inevitable. And we want to know the content. Now, Shulks and bjr trailers will come out and it'll be cool, but he should have done what he did for the fire emblem characters.

If he's smart he'll announce the others, if they exist, before they are leaked too.

Just so you know, the DLC was stated to be fake. I`m pretty sure Snake is not coming back, but there will be additional characters according to the official leaker. Snake has a small chance, but don`t get your hopes up yet.
