possible squirtle spike

A while back I was playing a buddy who was using snake. He had about 100% damage and I knocked him off stage and he jumped back and grabbed the ledge. Somewhere in between him grabbing it and trying to come up I used a dtilt. (where he spins forward on the ground) Next thing I know snake fly straight to the ground and died. I was pretty amazed and confused on what happen. I couldn't get it recorded cause the time was up so that sucked. I was trying out again just messing around and it wasn't working.

I tried timing the dtilts at certain points when he was hanging or when snake tried recovering. Even various lengths but still nothing. When it worked it was amazing, maybe it was a glitch but I think its something to look into and try to recreate this. Cause more awesome technique to squirtles arsenal would make him even more bad ***.

It was a stage spike. However, I can look in PSA to see if it has a meteorsmashing hitbox for you.

Edit: Double checked it, you had a stage spike.

Snake probably had to have done something wrong too. He probably SDI'd into the stage the first time so he got stage spiked.

I've done this before, too. It's not a spike per se, but it sends them downwards and it's unexpected, so a lot of times people react to it too late. But if the opponent just up Bs, this is easy to recover from.

Still though, it's good to use every now and then. You'll get surprise KOs with it.

I posted a spike vid a while back when I was playing a CPU Link on Smashville, I used dash attack and got the stage spike on him by surprise. If you want to check it out, it's somewhere around here, or you can just look it up on youtube or look up what threads I've created on here and that vid will be in the thread called "Dash attack Spike" I think.
