I found this by complete accident last night. Unfornately I didn't record it, but I definitly will. I don't know if this is a new tech or already existed, but let me know below.

This is how I pulled it off:

Do a foxtrot (Doesn't matter how far you make it go) and right after you tap the neutral stick, you cancel the ending animation with a Forward Smash. Do it too soon or too late, you get a dash attack.

I will make a video of it this weekend for you guys (I will upload it on my youtube channel).

What do you guys think of this tech? How useful will it be? Is it new or not?

IMO, for spacing, not a good tech, but for mix-ups, I definitly think it will be useful, since you can roll, Roll cancel Grab, or turn around and do a pivot tilt.

The one biggest problem about this tech is that the input window is very difficult.

Can't really imagine a point for doing it. It sounds very conspicuous and the input window doesn't sound very flexible.

The input window is very true, unless you practice, it's very difficult.
Well in that case, my first guess is that it's a mostly pointless find. If you have to wait towards the end of the animation it isn't much of a cancel, and if the opponent reacts to it as if it were a dash attack or grab attempt, i can't see the outcome ending much different.

I will keep testing this, but I do get your point. I just wanted to point out this find I found.

I've been doing this for a while with greninja. The timing isn't as precise as you think it is and there are times when its actual pretty useful.

The Forward Smash part is the easy part as you mentioned. It's just trying to turnaround instantly and do other stuff is difficult.

Do you mean like perfect pivots out of it and stuff like that?

This is simply old brawl tech. Its just stutter step fsmash out of dashing. Im this game it isnt nearly as useful because of the pivot cancel fsmash. True pivot allows u to do anything though since u go to neutral.

I would suggest to the OP to check out brawl tech thread as a ton of "ATs" people think they are finding have been known since 2008. I do love the push to find tech though. But yeah check it out so u know whats been known!!!!

This kind of sounds like just doing an action out of foxtrot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't foxtrot just using the initial dash animation to move around, but hit the neutral state after? Walking can do the same thing while being able to do anything out of it at anytime. Doing this requires you to wait for your foxtrot to end.

Yep, this is old brawl tech. You can fsmash out of fox trot and you can fox trot after a certain point in your run.

Please us the stickied thread in the future.... "Possible new tech" has to actually be thought out if you don't mind -.-
