Use up-b as you are running off the side and you get a boost. Its as fast as Yoshi's running speed and as high as he 1st jump.

I think that the Up-B off the stage just counts as an egg-toss, and so is part of the series of off-stage tosses that will eventually diminish to nothing.

It does seem like a possible mind-game though, hopping off the stage with an egg lead-in, followed by a spike after the air dodge.

Off this is basically an egg toss slide off the stage. It allows you to use your DJ since your feet were touching the ground after the first egg was thrown. That is presuming you use tap though.

I don't use tap jump.
Its useful because it is faster than his normal air speed so it catches opponents off guard and the egg stun can lead into a rising up-air.
Also it might not diminish your recovery egg toss because the impute for the command is while Yoshi on the ground I'll test it out tonight.

I know exactly what he's talking about. It's how many characters can use a special ability JUST as they go off the ledge (sorry I don't know the name of this tech), different skills benefit from it in different ways. For example when Mario uses his cape as he goes off a ledge has very far gliding effect. For Yoshi though I don't think that this is all too useful, since you can accomplish the same thing by jumping and throwing an egg, but that's just my opinion.

But you are restricted to only using it as soon as you run off the ledge. It's very situational, and it doesn't cut much time at all, it just saves you the hassle hitting your jump button.

How many people are going to use all 5 eggs to recover after running off the stage in the first place? Like I said, it's very situational and does not offer much benefit at all.

UPDATE: if you retz while leaving the stage/platform the boost is in the direction of the stage instead.

um i still kinda dont get it like you get a large boost off the stage use ET without wastin boost, i would still like to know how th emove is done and what it looks like
