Whenever I watch team tourneys, I always watch for moments when the fighters chain moves together into an effective offense. But when watching some other tourneys, certain teams will look more or less cohesive. That got me wondering. Who is the best partner for each character? Well, since I’m a casual Brawler, and I don’t have the expertise to judge, so why not ask the experts? I originally tried this on GameFAQs, but the users in general were immature, or not qualified to give the information. Then I remembered the specific boards on Smashboards, so I brought the poll here. So who do you think the best partner is for Ganondorf?

Rules:

- The poll will last for a week. If it becomes popular, it may last longer.
- You may only vote for one character.
- Assume friendly fire is on.
- Assume there are no items.
- After posting your answer, give a detailed reason why you choose that character. If you don’t give viable information, your vote will not be added.
- You may ask to change your vote if you have a viable reason.
- Discussion on your choices is allowed. NO FLAMES!!!
- If you vote Pokemon Trainer, you must discuss details for all his pokemon.
- If you vote on the Pokemon Trainer poll, you must discuss details for all his pokemon.
- If you want to use videos to explain your reasoning, feel free to post them, but remember. I play this game casually, so you have to explain what parts of the video are important and why they are important.
- You may vote on multiple polls.
- If issues occur, I may add or remove rules, so be sure to review the list.

Wario.

Choke, Bite, Elbow.

Nevermind the whole "lol punish Wario's obnoxious air pressure and G-Nasty gets a chance to use his fair" thing they've got going. Nevermind the "lol Grandpa dash attacks everyone like a train and only Wario lives" situation. Nevermind that Wario is a long-living damage dealer while Ganondorf is full of low-% KOs waiting to happen as he camps behind.

Choke -> Bite -> Elbow ought to be enough for anyone.

Also, Choke/Grab Farts.

D-throw -> Warlock Punch also says hai.

Here's my take on the situation.

Ganons recovery is very poor; he pretty much needs the edge to survive most of the time. A good doubles partner for Ganon should balance out this weakness by having such a stellar recovery that they don't need the edge to survive. This will help a lot to prevent friendly edgehogs.

Preferrably, a partner to Ganon would be either of greater than average weight, or have good air maneuverability. This would help a lot to ease the pain of friendly fire, or avoid it altogether.

I suggest Wario.

My vote goes for Lucario.

Why? Because his combo-ability will help rendering enemies helpless for gannondorf's punishment. For example, a Forcepalm chaingrab could lead directly into a warlock's punch.

Lucario is a great air player, and since ganondorf sticks to the ground so hard, they can divide earth and air easily. ganondorf would stay on the ground sweeping back and forth with down-B and dash attacks, and lucario aero-**** people with dair, fair combos and Aura-Spheres. This way they would not interfere.

There are other good aerial players like marth, g&w or Metaknight, but IMO they're simply very fast for this task. Lucario is relatively slow-paced in the air, and this can lead to ganondorf having it easy to catch up and support from the ground, while he would not be able to follow MK insane speed for example.

Lucario's recovery is good and fast, so he can easily avoid friendly edgehogs.

So, this is my opinion!
