Yeah, so first off... I have absolutely NO pokemon trainer experience, and on saturday I had (most likely) the best pokemon trainer in the country. Steeler. Now, I know what you're thinking... pokemon trainer? lulz. But no, this kid wrecked my ****. Anyone have tips against him?
I should have vids up tomorrow of him two stocking me.... :urg:

hmmm well i've only played typh (BEAST of a PT here in so cal) and i've managed to beat him
however they were only friendlies but i went in with no experience and him playing richbrown every day :/ go figure lol

regardless of what the PT people say, squirtle is the hardest. he can get right into our comfort zone and wreck our face
charizard is the easiest to handle imo. big, heavy, and we outrange him :D
ivysaur is a toss up. he's a worse oli lololol. try and get him off and edgehog. leaves cut through pikmin but oli can out camp him. grab a lot. dsmash should be insta death

PT is easy

each pokemon has literally one thing you need to get around and you can ****

squirtle should be your only problem

just take your time and watch what he does. PT is kinda tough though cause you only get one stock per pokemon which isn't enough time to understand them. go figure

Yeah, I use PT as a backup. Each individual plays totally differently, so it takes longer to learn how to take him on.

And just from playing PT, Squirtle is the only one that will trouble Oli, definitely.

Yeah, steeler.... mains squirtle XD. Or at least he tries to. He would **** me with the squirtle and either change to ivy when I get knocked off, or when I die. So then I kill ivy who is already at like 90-100 (easy), and then comes charizard, who I admit gave me some trouble, but not much. after getting charizard... I'm down a bit, and F***ing SQUIRTLE comes back... zomg. I got ***** lulz.... I'll post vids as soon as I get home form KU

Uhh... random tips.
-You've got some **** combos on Ivysaur and Charizard. Try to put them into the air rather than across the stage. Both Charizard and Ivysaur are rather weak from below.

-Ivysaur's running grab is pretty darn good. If follows up an attack, try to spotdodge or roll away more often than taking the easy road out and shielding.

-You can't dthrow->followup against squirtle very well at low percentages. He's too light and his fair will beat out everything you've got. Instead, try to condition him into falling away from you. (Ex. shield, so if he fairs in an attempt to beat out an attack, you can just shieldgrab him) This will help open up some combo opportunities that you'll otherwise miss later on in the set.
