...Sure...doesnt that make everyone in the pokecenter happy??
I dunno... It's just... unusual. Read what UmbreonMow said.omg why are most of you not happy with this marvelous update : (
i agree with aryman. and since noone here has ever played the game yet, theres no point saying how broken or stupid it is. the transformation from sheik to zelda was a nice input in the game. i actually think that this is a nice idea, and another reason to get the game. there will obviously be more surprises later on.
i guess i was one of the few who were surprised and excited about this new update...
i agree with both of you and i think the pokemon trainer is going to be a really fun character to play with wether he is broken or notI like how everyone can judge the abilities of this character from a few pictures.
"Oh you can abuse the switch to avoid damage"
Yeah? And when your opponent sees you switching pokemon what's going to stop him from charging a smash attack and hitting you just as you land on the field?
Wait until we see some video before you start complaining the character is broken. At least the team is trying to bring unique players to the game instead of the same old stuff we've already seen.
"Unique" is not a good thing to have in competitive games, which I think most people want brawl to be. Ice Climbers were "unique". No one likes the IC except IC players. Switching between zelda and sheik was also unique- so unique that no one uses it, since most players choose either zelda or sheik and then do not switch. Yoshi's shield is unique. So is ness's recover. unique generally sucks. At least the team is trying to bring unique players to the game instead of the same old stuff we've already seen.
Did you ever consider that most people don't switch between Zelda and Shiek because they main one of them not both? You're only focusing on things you don't like."Unique" is not a good thing to have in competitive games, which I think most people want brawl to be. Ice Climbers were "unique". While I'm calling predictions, I predict ivysaur will be gay to fight against.
Wow, and I thought I was the only one here that went to 4chan. Though, 4chan has it's share of jerks as well when it comes to SSBM and Brawl._Slick_, you have an awesome avatar.
Come on UmbreonMow, I thought you'd be a better sport than that.
Sheesh, 4chan is right about many smashboardians. It's not about winning, tiers, and competition. I am amazed by this new character out of sheer coolness factor. That's what really sells it for me. Who gives a **** if Bowser sucks in Melee, people will still use him because they are fans. Look at Gimpyfish. He doesn't have too many qualms about losing just because his character sucks. He loves Bowser and his cuteness, and I'm sure fans out there will love Ash/Red/PKMN Trainer simply because they are fans.
For the record, I am a competitive Ice Climbers player >_> and it's not just IC players who enjoy the way they are used. Not everyone hates IC.
When Brawl comes out, I am going to use Peach, Z/Samus, Zelda, and other female characters just because they're cute. (That's why I pick Red IC's, cuz Nana is in front.)
I was talking about Wobbling.Um, how is this a technique that only the IC can only perform? It's switching, not having two characters...
I assumed the same thing, though I can see Ivysaur having no up+b recovery. Although...It's a curious idea. I wonder how Ivysaur would recover from a distance. I would imagine Squirtle would use rapid spin or skull bash and Charizard seems rather obvious.
This is plausible. Not a bad idea. Grapple hook/beam anyone?with its vine whip of course.
in the anime, bulbasaur uses its vine to lift itself from the ground.
QFT. At the same time, it all comes down to a matter of prefrence, and opinion.Did you ever consider that most people don't switch between Zelda and Shiek because they main one of them not both? You're only focusing on things you don't like.
Kirby and Jiggs have distinct jumps I guess those suck. Peach has a rather different recovery technique, that sucks too right? Unlike other characters Fox has a almost guaranteed reflect technique. Ugh, lame.
What's your definiton of sucks anyways? Recently people have asked that a technique only the IC's can perform be banned. If it sucked so much why would anyone want it banned? Unless of course it doesn't.
See below.Um, how is this a technique that only the IC can only perform? It's switching, not having two characters...
I was talking about Wobbling.
Could work, though I think Ivysaur would be a little heavy to have something like that. The vines make more sense, respectively.Ivysaur could flap its big leaves for an aerial boost. Maybe like a stun spore attack, that when done on the ground spreads the spores on either side of him and when done in the air serves as a recovery.
it hasn't been announced yet.. but i do wonder what it will be, maybe all of the pokemon attacking at once? idk..This is cool and all but... What is his Final Smash???
All attacking at once? That's an odd one. I would expect the staff to do something similiar with PKMN Trainer that is done with Bowser for the final smash. Except, instead of transforming or whatever, pkmn trainer will call back whoever is out and send out some powerhouse poke.it hasn't been announced yet.. but i do wonder what it will be, maybe all of the pokemon attacking at once? idk..
anyways, this character looks cool.
Garchomp would fit in the "Powerhouse" title. All attacking at once? That's an odd one. If so, who would it be? I'm speaking hypothetically, of course.
heh.. XDOr it could be something kind of strange like the pokemon trainer captures the other fighters in pokeballs . You can then throw them off the edge or something like that.
