Now then. Who plays this? I do. I even got a Red Frenzy Theme Deck (not my favorite though ;-

Is this free to play or does it cost cashmoney?

It's free to play. There are 3 basic decks you have to unlock by playing 12 opponents per deck in the Trainer Challenge (meaning AI bots).

Then you have 1 basic deck that doesn't need unlocking. So that's 4.

The rest (theme decks, booster packs) you have to buy.

Only cons is it's hard to match up directly with friends. It's pretty good.

It's terrible because you can't customize your deck to make it good.

This is free to play, but if you play competitive real life TCG, buying boxes (ew) gets you the same number of boosters for online (in any set). You can trade online too.

Playing with only your theme deck against good players using Reshiphlosion or any slightly meta-orientated deck will get you wrecked to hell.

That is exactly what it is. As far as I know, you can't buy individual cards. So good luck getting 4 Magnezone Primes.

i can't even think of a deck that runs 4 of a stage 2, aside from straight lostgar (lol) and some (ie good builds of) tyram

magnezone prime isn't that expensive atm

So the economy for the online game is pretty weird. Turns out I was fundamentally wrong about not being able to buy individual cards, but I guess I was literally right.
