I liked the idea of Pokemon Rival having one starter from 3 different generations. It would make him different from Trainer and it would add representation for all the Pokemon games. But I doubt it will happen.

PT = Squirtle, Ivysaur, Charizard

Rival = Chikorita/Treecko, Cyndaquil/Torchic, Totodile/Mudkip
(Either tier and I don't know the most recent one) And whatever evolution form.

So its like he chose the opposite of your main like he does in the game.

Those Lucario-replacing-Mewtwo fanboys are really annoying. Mewtwo is, by far, the best pokémon (the other pokémon are prescindible scum). No, Lucario's not cooler, he's a blue dog with shorts; and a generic pokémon.

Why not both?
I don't support Lucario (in fact, I hate him), but he's popular and the most recognizable 4th gen pokémon, so he should be in. BUT, Mewtwo is the most recognizable legendary pokémon, and it's one of the most popular pokémon worldwide. Both of them should be in, along with Jigglypuff. That's 5 pokémon reps.

Pikachu as the face; Trainer as the main protagonist; Mewtwo representing the Legendary pokémons; Lucario representing the non-1st gen pokémon and Jigglypuf... is cute.

Oh, and the Pokémon Rival is a bad idea. Pokémon Trainer is awesome because he's the most unique fighter ever (even more than Ice Climbers and Olimar). Two trainers is a bad idea.

Yhyh true just to make it more similar to the actually games themselves he always chooses the pokemon with the weakness to your main (Cheeky Bit.ch) But i would also like really good pokemon involved aswell.

Jigglypuff is not negotiable. She's a classic. The Classic Mode without her is bull****. No, my friend, Jigglypuff is a Smash icon and she'll be in, again.

True i doubt it because the pokemon are kinda random and of key and really dont make a set unless those 3 were used in an episode maybe. But i would like PKM Rival o be based on gary, Arcanine, Alakazam and stuff but its more likely gonna be the the starters if he is included

Those are 3 of the Pokemon that your rival usually had at the end of Red/Blue/Yellow.

Thats true But note there have been so many rivals in the pokemon series so i think he should use the Pokemong league champion set pokemon used in the era of pokemon trainer or maybe the champion set from gold/silver. But my favourite would be Gary from Fire red i mean Heracross/Tyranitar/Skamory they where pretty cool.

I think we were lucky to get PT with the original starters. I doubt there will be any more first-generation reps. 3rd and 4th generation SUCK!

I guess Rival could have one starter from each other generation. Each evolutionary stage would have the advantage over PT. I would like Feraligatr, Monferno, and Treecko.

Makes sense for that to be ok we dont want to give him a huge advantage over pokemon trainer because PKM trainer would just look like a background character that way.
