Torterra. My favorite Pokemon and I'd love to see him in Smash, but I don't see how he would work, he doesn't even have Vine Whip to compensate the lack of arms.

I know. I wasn't really suggesting him for Smash (or to this thread), as he wouldn't work.

I would definitely want Hawlucha as a playable pokemon. I think he'd be a really cool fast lightweight plus he could incorporate some wrestling inspired moves with his more unique pokemon attacks.

I think as weird as it sounds Goodra would be fun too. Very different from the existing pokemon (and indeed the rest of the roster) plus adorable and squishy.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's open to this idea! There are so many Pokemon Trainer designs out there that would make for some great Mii costumes! Here are the ones I'd be most interested in seeing:

Mii Brawler:

-Cynthia (largely because her signature Pokemon, Garchomp, looks like the kind of Pokemon that fights other one-on-one).
-N (Considering how he put himself right in the middle of a battle on certain occasions in the anime, he'd be a fitting Mii Brawler)
-Corrina (Self-explanatory)
-Brawly (also self-explanatory)

Mii SwordFighter:

-Steven (Since he is viewed as a Steel-type specialist; his sword could resemble Skarmory's feather since he owns a Skarmory in the games)
-Byron (Also a steel-type specialist, only his sword in this case would be his shovel)
-Wikstrom (Steel-type specialist who could use a sword that would be Aegislash, his signature Pokemon, itself)
-Ramos (his scissors would be his sword)

Mii Gunner:

-Lysandre (he could have a customized gun with the end resembling Pyroar's head).
-Siebold (his gun would be the giant claw from Clawitzer, one of the Pokemon he uses on his team)
-Lance (he could have a customized gun with the end resembling Dragonite's head, to reference the Hyper Beam attack it is known for using)
-Giovanni (customized gun with the end resembling Persian's head)

I'm sure there are many more possibilities, but these are the ones I'm most interested in at the moment.

So back in the Brawl Hacks there was a pokemon trainer redesign tournament and someone made Link using Aegislash as his weapons.

I'd like this. Especially if they do more pokemon over moves replacements. Like a fishing rod for a hookshot? Throws a chimeco instead of a gale boomerang. Tiny Voltorb Bombs.

Honestly, it was pretty sad that the thread was apparently dead, there are so many good ideas here and it would have been a shame if they didn't ever see the light of day again. I'm happy that's not the case.

Moving on, any Pokemon you gentlemen and gentlewomen like but don't think would work well in Smash Bros? I personally like Regigigas and Kyogre a lot but I feel that they are way too large, not to mention Kyogre is deconfirmed. Another one that I like but don't feel would work in Smash is Breloom, and while it's got potential since it's a gen 3 fighting grass type, I think it would probably be pretty hard to balance a character that's key traits are being fast, stretching it's arms far beyond a normal distance and sending people to sleep via projectiles. Since those are it's key traits I don't think they'd really ever leave them out of the character, so I can only imagine Breloom ending up as absurdly broken .
