Pokémon Red/Blue Retrospective

I want a Pokemon Colosseum style game that doesn't suck balls.

Or better yet, a Pokemon MMORPG. That is SUCH a no brainer.

Pokemon has so much untapped potential, and how Gamefreak wastes it utterly sickens me.

They created something great with Red/Blue, but barely ever expanded upon it, save adding more creatures and battle mechanics.

Seriously, a MMORPG is like the perfect idea.

Oh, and Vaporeon is still the best!

Isn't there that guy who breaks the fourth wall and claims to be Game Freak's main developer in the Celadon mansion? I'm pretty sure he gives you a diploma for catching all 151 Pokemon. Not much, but still a reward.

You need 150 pokemon to get the diploma. But you don't need the first 150. So if you have mew and are missing porygon like i was, you can still get the diploma.

Also, Oak is a douche. He doesn't give you anything. Weak.

The actual Pokemon games nowadays have amazing battle mechanics for competetive play, but it requires so much time and energy to raise them. Even then, you have to go through the trouble of friend codes to actually battle anyone unless you want to spend even more money on Pokemon Battle Revoloution. And if you do the GTS, you'll get mass hacked Pokemon, further making the entire thing utterly pointless.

The only Pokemon I ever touch now is shoddy battle. I want the battle mechanics and nothing more. The Pokemon "worlds" have always been mediocre, the only way they can keep going is by making money off creating new Pokemon. They have a great battle system and creatures, now if only they could put this system and the creatures into a half decent game. . .

That actually isn't a MMORPG. It's kind of like Shoddy ( I think I got that right) with walking and stuff. Nothing really special, and it's fan made so it's not that great to begin with.

This had just about everything except for the flame of the fourth generation Pokemon. I hate Combee.

Nice read though. But, just a correction, Jolteon is the best of the Eeveelutions -- even back in RBY.

Ahh good memories. I loved the old man glitch! Had 900 master balls and rare candies (Before the times I was told Rare Candies weren't great) and I was only in grade 2. LOL
