What kind of question was
"what do you think the meta for poke floats is?"...
Do you know what meta means, and if your playing poke floats, you won't get too many answers no offense.

I spent like 20 minutes trying to find the CamperBob match where he won by timing out a peach (Vidjo?). That was basically the gospel of why the stage needed to be banned.

But it was a legal stage for 4-5 years of the competitive scene, so it definitely has some developed meta. Some tips:

  • don't run down the slope on Seel's neck/back, always jump from his head to the tail area. You will fall through his body and be unable to come back.
  • approaching puts you at a disadvantage in many cases, especially when your only choice is jumping from your platform at your opponent. The same holds true for your opponent; do everything you can to convince them to come to you.
  • Play the stage and know the patterns. This is especially important for the goldeen section and the chancy sections.

Falco is incredibly strong on that stage since it is so vertical. I almost took a match from Darkrain in a tournament by taking him there and my Falco was pretty garbage.
