I can't house more than 2 people maximum. ~_~

Also it would be much more convenient if everyone wanted to get those cheap hotel rooms instead. It would make transportation a lot easier due to that bus.

After realizing how invalid that the poll results were due to a ton od people voting who won't be there I decided to just take control of the stage list myself. I spoke with a good amount of people and this list was agreed upon to be the most fair.

but you realize that theoretically when you chose these 4 stages to be voted on, you had implicitly agreed that they were all acceptable

whatever i don't care and it doesn't really affect me (i don't really like corneria or anything), but it sure seems shady

PockyD is right.
All 4 stages should be acceptable. And appearently Brinstar and Corneria are the current winners. Just because you spoke to a good amount of people does'nt mean you spoke to everyone coming to this tournament.
IMO, you should just go with the poll to makes things fair and simple and avoid complaints.

Uhh..
btw.
About pre-registering.
How long do we have? What if we're not sure if we're going or not?

Also. About paying online..
Thats something I don't like doing(I don't like buying things online).
So is registration possible before the tournament?

You have til a week or 2 before the tourney, thats assuming things dont fill up on it.

For questions about pre reg, simply go to the link on the first post
create a account on the website
then go to the registration tab under tournaments
fill out the info
it doesnt ask for money
check out
done

All four stages are acceptable, but acceptable is different from allowed. The poll results are invalid, and I decided to use my own discretion along with other people's opinion to decide which stages would be used. There is nothing shady about it, ultimatly it was my decision to begin with i just chose to allow public opinion. But when the poll results began to far exceed the potential turnout of the tournament they became invalid and the poll itself useless. That left me with the decision.

Feel free to talk to me on AIM about this. s/n: Omegawhitemage

I'm sorry, but the four counter pick stages are EXTREMELY biased. They support Peach and Jigglypuff like crazy. DK64, Brinstar, and Mute City are the three best stages for Peach and Jiggly to counterpick(Samus too somewhat). Even if you ban one, they are left with two tremendous alternatives. And it wouldn't be that big a deal except that you really don't have an option to counterpick against them. They will just ban Rainbow Cruise and you are left with only their stages, and neutrals. That seems extremely character biased.

As a mage, it is my duty to ask, why the **** are we being so gay about stages? No other major tournament is this ******** about which stages to allow - the only fair way to run the counterpicking is the way that everyone has already agreed upon, those being the rules created by mlg. We can sit here and debate about which stages are fair for counterpicking with different characters but in the end we're only going to come to the same conclusion that we all made years ago with the mlg rules

The only stage that is allowed that wasn't voted in is Mute, and that is mainly because allowing Corneria tips the scales towards the space animals even further than they already are. I believe it's preferable for the space animals to have at lease one stage that is bad for them rather every stage being an advantage. They literally have no bad stages in the 6 neutrals, and even with this list only mute and brinstar are a problem.

Regardless, this is the stage list, end of story.

XIF: As blue pointed out, things will hopefully wrap up by 5PM sunday.

So crews means state crews or general crews?
And midnight is not late at all. Tournaments around here usually sometimes run till like 2AM.

And tournaments that are more than one day don't even usually have a time limit to when it should end. Single pools are usually played out all throughout the night if the participants want to get some of their bracket matches out of the way. Or it is played up until a certain point(like 2AM for example).

So stop making time john guys and play the game.
