The nay-sayers who believe that Smashboards represents a small, and therefore insignificant, part of the Smash Bros. demographic do not understand the demographic of the board itself, and certainly do not understand representative sampling.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sampling_(statistics)

Smashboards almost certainly contains a larger percentage of players who are hobbyists and not casual gamers. I haven't been on Miiverse yet, but I am willing to bet that the majority of casual gamers will not make a statement one way or the other about Smash Bros. on Miiverse, and a larger part of the hobbyists will. Given that the board is probably a mildly skewed sample of the Smash Bros. demographic, and the lack of enthusiasm from non-hobbyist gamers, I dare say the board can be represented well on the Miiverse, and hardcore, competitive population even more so.

But some of you have already given up. You did all your griping after the last game was made, and now you can't be bothered to submit any opinion. What a waste.
One of the Tekken Devs have already acknowledge Smash as a competitive fightrer and is aiming for a game that is simple enough to play casually but enough depth to play competitively

So I might be putting this in wrong place I followed this from somewhere else but does anyone else thing it would be cool if they added a system for wounded character states? I'm not just talking about getting up from ledge attacks or R.O.Bs light just flashing like mad. Some thing's like scraps, scratches and bruises , Samus's visor glitching out Add stuff to their battle portraits ect. I understand a majority may not even notice or care but feels like it would be rather epic to see the deteriorated state of your character as you are getting bodied or near death. Something like that might make a lot of people try even harder to desperately to hold onto that stock or win that match.

Man I kind wish I had a Wiiu for posting on that miiverse. -_-0

PLEASE keep it going guys. SPREAD this topic or the idea. This is Sakurai himself telling what his goal is. We've just got to give him a hand, provinding some feedback, since we know what hardcore players need. Some decent stun to make at least small combos, and a less floaty gravity - again, for those who don't get it, nobody here is asking "melee physics" or "make melee 2".
