Playing with a bad recovery

If you're playing as Link or Falcon, must you be flawless to not get totally ***** by a grab-happy Pikachu?

Or is there some approach that doesn't require godly tech skill that I can use? Pika's grab range is pretty **** big.

I think shorthopped aerials can help a bit , nothing godly

with a grabwhore keep shorthopping
cuz he cant grab you at your jump until u almost are near the ground

just keep staying in the air, he cant grab you while your in the air, unless your about to touch the ground.
