Haha I'm a (bad) Melee (noob) player, but I plan on getting there around an hour and a half early so I can do some friendlies for warm-ups and MMs.
Last time I got there like right as it started so my warm-up was my first match.

too bad most brawl players complain that it's "too hard". all you really need is short hop, wavedash, and L-cancel. pfft

and i play like 3 - 4 times a week
i just take the pwning that I deserve and try and learn lol

Same thing happened to me last tourney, lost to 1st place and 2nd place, both used snake at irvine pnt. And now again at MV. Bleh
I hate snake, FTILT FTILT FTILT FTILT FTILT FTILT i'm so sick of it.

Overall good tournament. Location is in a really awsome spot. So many food stores nearyby and the staff doesn't complain about food/drinks! YES! Irvine PNT kicks us out if we have unopened bottle of water, but here, we were able to enjoy a pizza in the middle of the store, that was fun ; )

Staff also did a good job making sure the first timers understood the rules, but i think a few people still left after their first match. I think they need to clarify a little better to the new people about double elimination. Saying they get moved to a different bracket etc. Not that it would have made a difference though lol. They still get filtered out pretty quick ; )

I think it ran a little better than irvine actually, but the beginning felt like it was dragging on and on...there was just too many brawl noobs duking it out. First hour, i saw so many captain falcons. And so many matches where time would go up. Just because they never use kill moves. UGH

And yeah the rules need to be clarified better. It was pretty stupid to have somebody try to exploit it when they know they are wrong. Thats just bad, using the lack of information the Tournament hosts have. Its the same for all the tournaments....cmon, thats a lame card to pull honestly.

Oh yeah...and the double Jeopardy thing was kinda stupid, but that was nobody's fault. Just whack that it had to happen to our group twice.

yea we're working on it. this was only our second tournament and in the first one we never had anybody go into sudden death. and we were going off of irvine pnt's rules.

i dont think the parents of the younger kids knew that it was gonna last that long cuz all the younger kids just left.

and if you guys are gonna leave, let us know that way we're not looking for you later and holding everything up.
