As you all know, pkt1 can be used to hit opponents offstage while remaining safely on the stage. But when you hit someone in a certain way, they go shooting up as if it were a zap jump. When I was fighting a meta knight, it happened just as he did his shuttle loop and flew so high it KOed him. It happens a lot against kirby.

Here it happens at 0:44:

Sorry if this was previously discussed, but i would like to know if it happens to anyone else and why.

I'm not entirely sure what you're pointing out. Kirby and Metaknight are both really light characters so they get sent really far by PKT1. It could be that the momentum from one of their jumps was preserved or something too. I'm not really sure. Either way Metaknights and Kirbys are really freaking hard to edgeguard with PKT1 if they're paying attention so I usually don't bother trying. All they have to do is jump with an airdodge to pretty much avoid it everytime.

Sometimes if you jump right as you receive knockback you'll shoot very high into the air.

I think it happens to all characters. The best time to use Pk thunder is when they use their recovery move.

I did it against this guy online using pit, it was soo funny, i knocked him down, he flew up - i used pk thunder, zapped him - cancelled it and he died. LOL

I've only had it happen when players were using their recoveries,; I've got quite a few vids of it that I plan to upload when I get the time. The best effect I've seen happen is on Pikachu; he goes flying off in whatever direction the player is pointing him in.

Not really. You can cancel it by hitting yourself with it (PKT2!) or hitting a floor/object. It also cancels if you lose control of the projectile (reflected). You can't freely cancel it like Snake can his Nikita missile.

I just did this today too. I think it's just some wierd kockback glitch based on the timing of the previos midair jump.

I agree with you.

They fly really high if I hit their heads. It should be a glitch, because if PKT1 hits them from above they should go down instead of up.
