Pivot PK Fire

Was this in Melee? I honestl can't remember. I know you could dash-dance PK fire in Melee, but in Brawl, you seem to go a lot further than I remember.

For some reason, you can actually hold PK fire for longer than a normal stutter step or pivot would allow you and then instantly turn around and PK Fire without having to sit through the turning animation from the run. However, if you run for too long, then the normal turn will happen.

It's weird. I havn't noticed it with other characters quite as much. Sorry if this is old.

It goes about the same distance as a wavedash did in Melee. Kind of like wavedash backwards to PK fire, only it's faster and easier.

You just run backwards and then PK fire in the opposite direction.

I dunno. I'd think PK Jumping (or whatever people call it. It's basically Ness jump cancelling a PK Fire, but he gets extra momentum if timed properly) would be more useful, but I haven't seen a pivot PK Fire in action yet.

Yeah, that really happens, pretty much the way f-smash does. That's a great mindgame and defensive tech. =D

UNfortunately, most of the time, you wanna be close to a person you PKF. But it can be used for evasive maneuvers.

I just finished playing against a friend after reading this... it makes PK Fire a lot more useful imo

Still not sure how to do this. Either Ness stops running, or Ness PK Fires in the opposite firection with no momentu, (timing is tricky though).
I'll try it again, though. Probably messing it up.

Guys guys, you are thinking too hard. Just dash one way and PKF the other way before the intitial dash animation ends.

Unlike the Fsmash, this can be used ANYTIME during the starting dash, not just the middle-end.
