Pittsburgh Comicon:SSBM Tournament

I'm posting on behalf of the gaming room organizer of the Pittsburgh Comicon.

The tournament will be standard MLG rules, bannings, and stocks.

I will possibly have the opening pools be single elim, to weed out badplayers fast, then have the final 32 double. If there is less than 64 entrants, then I will just do straight double elim. It is a cash entry of $10. The prize for Smash is CASH+ gift certificates to the dealers room of the convention (which can also be cashed in with a (little song and dance). The pot split will likley be 1- 50% of pot+certs 2- 20% of pot+certs 3-certs.
In a 64 person tourney the exact pay outs would be:

1st- $320 + $50 gift certs
2nd- $128 + $20 gift certs
3rd- $25 gift certs.

That's what he said in an email to me. So, I'll put it neater right here:

1st place: 50% plus $50 gift certificates
2nd Place: 20% plus $20 gift certificates
3rd Place: $25 gift certificates

Should I deliberate on the rules more, or is knowing MLG standard is enough?



The tournament is on Saturday, April 22.
