Hey, I've been playing Pikachu since the game started (just only recently made an account here).

Having trouble getting the back spike hitbox of Pika's Uair. I find myself having to need it a lot for edge guarding and relying on luck to get it. Was wondering where exactly should I be hitting?

Hitting uair how you want requires both timing and positioning to be correct. For the reverse spike hitbox of uair, you have to be further forward and hit the opponent slightly earlier than you would if you wanted to forward spike them. If you're trying for it and you forward spiked them, then you likely hit them too late. If you're trying for it and you pop them up, you hit them too early.

Ahh okay thanks I'll be sure to practice that. I always thought your opponent had to be behind Pika...

They do, very slightly behind (but still above him). Timing is important too, though.

Pikachus uair has 6 frames. Do you know which frames are for what hit? Or is each frame slightly different in its knockback?

Just looked at the frame data. It's out on frames 3-8. From what i can tell this is the knockback of each:
3: Pops up
4: also Pops up
5: Reverse spike
6: Spike
7: Pops slightly up and behind
8: also Pops slightly up and behind

3 & 4 have the same knockback. It feels like 7 and 8 do too, though that one's kinda funky (and used the least) so they might differ slightly. They both hit them in the same general area, at least.

Okay cool. I met dkuo at a tourney the other day, and he showed me it... same position for a normal tailspike, except turned around, which works for me.

I got it down by throwing level 1 foxes offstage, and trying to reverse-spike when they recover.

I can get it ~50% of the time now, and that's pretty good for a pretty ****ty player.

Can someone post a video of how the timing is like? I think a video would visualize it better than any written guide. I'll be grateful to anyone who does make one.
