Pikachu = Beastly?

[Impossibilities]

Wow I was playing pikachu yesterday against my friend. I didin't even realized he had been buffed so much (where have I been?). His speed is crazy and he has lots of combo potential. His bair is so fun to use now too. Anyone have a sudden urge to main this little rodent now?

Only dissapointment is they took away the wizard hat for his costumes....so much for being magical now...

I've mained Pikachu since day one in SSB. Playing him in Brawl feels more like a reward for sticking with him through the tough times in Melee.

And while I also lament over the loss of the goggles, the kick awesome headband and goggles are enough for me. Although I think that I might be the only one who thinks that.

I certainly won't main the little yellow demon, but I will give my input. I have a buddy who dominates the local smash scene and mains Samus and Pika, and let me tell you, he has made me hate one of the original 150 pkmn. That is a tough task. But he is ridiculously good. But it's not just him, for some reason, I have always had trouble playing against decent Pikas. I have always thought there was a lot more potential in him than people gave him credit for, and now with Brawl, I think that people will start noticing a bit more.

Pikachu is pretty beastly in the right hands. The one word I can think of to describe someone who is skilled with him is annoying. I main Pikachu and I still find it annoying to fight someone else who is using Pikachu. I am extremely happy though that they improved him.

He was buffed? Just learned that. I mained Yoshi back in the SSB days and was pretty unstoppable. (Locally. However, after coming here, I now know I'm far, f-a-r behind in terms of skill.) For some reason, I lost my knack with Yoshi and started trying characters my friends mained. Eventually, came across this little rodent and for some reason, found he was actually pretty fun. So, I suppose that's good news. Guilty that I essentially dropped Yoshi, but I doubt I'll stop playing him. He's still wicked.

bair might be fun but its quite punishable so watch yourself.

But the buffs have made pikachu one of the best spammers in the game. It's fun out spamming other spammers too xD

Edit: Oh, you're talking about his sig. (I think.) If that's so, then it's just his sig. He knows.

he has a peach dsmash, and down b can be spammed. However, when fox/falco/wolf shine it can cause pika to kill himself. Ness and lucas can absorb it which is really annoying.

Pikachu is clearly an underrated Brawl character. People will start realizing his/her potential soon enough...

Pikachu is beastly just for being able to:
Short hop --> QAC --> Nair --> Fair --> Down Smash

I also have to agree that staying with Pikachu since day one has been very rewarding. Try taking out a higher tier character with Pikachu in Melee, its a very difficult task in the professional zone. But in Brawl, this is soooooooooo much easier, even on the MLG ladder. Dont be surprised seeing a Pikachu in the top 20 sometime soon.

Yea, Pikachu is a beast but his up smash and side smash are pretty bad compared to what they were in melee, but his aerials were slightly improved( I still hate his back air stupid frisbee) But I love his foward air and I have mained him and Luigi forever. Pikachu was awful in melee but I still ***** with him.

defintaly with you, Ive been maining wolf but today when i tried pika out, well i think im gonna have to convert. Defintly an awesome skilled character and hes flying under the radar not a lot of people are using him
